Ringo Starr - Night And Day Lyrics
Night and day, you are the one,
Only you beneath the moon and under the sun.
Whether near to me or far,
It's no matter, darling, where you are, i think of you,
Night and day.
Day and night, why is it so,
That this longing for you follows wherever i go?
In the roaring traffic's boom,
In the silence of my lonely room, i think of you,
Night and day.
Night and day, under the hide of me,
There's, oh, such a hungry yearning
Burning inside of me.
And its torment won't be through
Day and night, night and day.
And its torment won't be through
Till you let me spend my life making love to you,
Day and night, night and day.
Day and night, night and day.

Ringo Starr Night And Day Comments
No, sorry, Ringo, as much as I do like your voice and your greatest song hits. This one was obviously from some misguided advice. The "jazzed up" beat and casual, dismissive air does not fit. I 'd recommend everybody listen to the original Fred Astaire version -- as early as possible to the Great Depression -- and absorb that spirit that was captured in it, back then.
In a ...funny way...he hits the same feeling as Fred Astaire does in that tune. Fred is the better singer, but it swings...for both of them... and that is what matters.
My favorite track on this album is hands down "Night And Day"! This song bring me a lot of joy! It really swings!!!
良いなぁ!~コールポーター作品だよね♪この後・ジョージハリスンも 彼の「true love」をカバーしてるね!~こっちも良いよね♪
Ringo doing Frank Sinatra one better.

O
It's so pretty, beautiful !!!, delicious
C’mon give him a break! He’s Ringo! Jeez, give it up!
Why didn't Ringo team up with George Harrison? They could have produced some half-decent albums together.
He recorded these songs to please his mother. Give the man a break, will you?
Capcoor nah
Ringo is one of the great men who brought British music to America. Not sure what this is supposed to be. It's a very mediocre version of one of America's greatest songs recorded by so many of America's greatest singers (Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Doris Day, Tony Bennett, Dionne Warwick, etc.). He doesn't even seem to try. I know he was the Beatles drummer, but PLZ, try a little. He walked through this. Even at that, I gave him a "thumbs up" out of respect for his other work.
I do think he is trying, but he's just not that good a singer - especially not for this style or caliber of tune. I wouldn't expect him to be as good as the singers that you mentioned.
He recorded this album out of wanting to please his mother. Songs from her generation.
Who the Hell gave ol' Ringo a Dislike?
Give the guy a break!
A strange album for his first post-Beatles output. I guess he was right that "it don't come easy" as far as his talent level is concerned compared to his band-mates. The material suits an artist in the latter part of a career, not as a launch for a solo journey. Rod Stewart has fit right in with the standards because the timing was right for him to do so. Ringo did this way too soon and if he started doing it much later it would be better received. I don't want to say it's a cliche "ahead of its time" collection, because it isn't. Instead, it's a premature use of an idea that could have been left on the shelf for a better day.
I could never give Ringo a anything less than 5 Starr's!!
