This clip was taken from when Rock Arena, ABC Australia, just did a show of the solo Beatles' clips. I still have it on tape. Circa 1984, It's brilliant they did that. Love this one from Ringo, Hope he plays it on his upcoming tour though I think he won't :(

The original was done by Joe Simon. Written by Gamble & Huff. It is the best version by far.

This is a cover version of the SNAFU'S song wich is far much better tha Ringo's.Bobby Harrison is absolutelly fantastic and the song is in the funky mood!

This is a great song but Ringo just did not execute well here....check out the Joe Simon or Boz Scaggs' versions and you'll learn how the song should be sung. I think that even Ringo would agree with this assessment.

I totally agree. I grew up with this era of Ringo albums and they have a good sound. Especially "Bad Boy".

Ringo The 4th might be Ringo's weakest album but I still really like it! Ringo at his 'worst' is better then alot of today's pop music at its best. Go Ringo!

You are a true Ringo fan then! Most Beatle people stopped at Ringo, and maybe Goodnight Vienna. Rotogravure is ok, so is Stop and Smell the Roses. I think Old Wave is the best though of his non-apple works...at least until Vertical Man.

Cool post. I am happy Ringo is sober, but this era of his work "Rotogravure", "Ringo the 4th" and "Bad Boy" (and smell the roses", are my fave Ringo works.

Ps...this is the album he claims to not remember recording (due to alcohol.) Based on contents of this video (and all the booze) I don't doubt his word.

I never knew a video was made for this song. I once listened to the Ringo the 4th album while on LSD. What a bazaar experience. Especially seeing that crazy cover.
