Ricky Skaggs - Don't Think I'll Cry Lyrics

My tears would fall each time you' leave me
My heart would break each time you take your love away
Those days are gone yeah you best believe me
Cause if you walk out this time you're walkin' out to stay.

And don't think I'll cry and I won't be blue
No I won't be wastin' my time waitin' here for you
Next time you walk out my heart's door
You won't be welcome here no more
I'll find another love a waitin' when we're through

It'd be so hard tryin' talk it over
After all this time we'd say we are through
We'd been apart much more time than we're together
And I been left behind too many times by you.

And don't think I'll cry and I won't be blue
No I won't be wastin' my time waitin' here for you
Next time you walk out my heart's door
You won't be welcome here no more
I'll find another love a waitin' when we're through.

Don't think I'll cry and I won't be blue
No I won't be wastin' my time waitin' here for you
Next time you walk out my heart's door
You won't be welcome here no more
I'll find another love a waitin' when we're through.

I'll find another love a waitin' when we're through...

When Ricky went into doing Bluegrass full time he pretty much is having the time of his life and of course he had some amazing years doing mainstream country but after 15 years playing he knew he had to go back making true roots music that got him his start and he is still going strong today.

A great slice of western swing from Ricky who cut his teeth really in the bluegrass field. His early 80's albums like "Highways & Heartaches" were done with the more mainstream Nashville country audiences in mind as distinct from bluegrass purists.
