Ricky Nelson - I'm Walkin' Lyrics
I'm walkin', yes indeed
And I'm talkin', 'bout you and me
And I'm hopin' that you'll come back to me, oh yeah
I'm lonely, as I can be
And I'm waitin', for your company
What you gonna do when the well runs dry
You're gonna run away and hide
I'm gonna run right by your side
For you pretty baby I'd even die
I'm walkin', yes indeed
And I'm talkin', 'bout you and me
And I'm hopin' that you'll come back to me, oh yeah
I'm lonely, as I can be
And I'm hopin' that you'll come back to me
What you gonna do when the well runs dry
You're gonna run away and hide
I'm gonna run right by your side
For you pretty baby I'd even die
I'm walkin', yes indeed
And I'm talkin', 'bout you and me
And I'm hopin' that you'll come back to me, oh yeah
I'm lonely, as I can be
And I'm waitin', for your company
And I'm hopin' that you'll come back to me

Did Elvis And Ricky Nelson knew each other ?
They were acquainted.
Not a bad version.
Some guitar break
This guy had me at hello
James Burton in the video but the Studio Guitar man was Barney Kessel according to other reliable sources. Any other comments?
Yes, James Burton played the solo in this recording, but, as I understand it, Barney Kessel played the solo on this number in another recording. I prefer Burton's playing here, but I like Barney Kessel and admire him as a great jazz guitarist.
Merle Travis was the guitarist on THIS recording. Rick recorded two other sides for Verve, You're My One And Only Love and A Teenager's Romance. There was an instrumental that was the "B" side of You're My One And Only Love called Honey Rock, which Rick had no involvement in but the Barney Kessel Orch recorded,. These four sides were all part of Rick's first extended play 45 called Ricky. Barney Kessel was the producer of the session for these four tracks for Verve Records.
James Burton did not join Rick's band until the end of 1957 when his summer state fair tour was over. In fact, on the first album that he recorded for Imperial Records in 1957, Joe Maphis and Howard Roberts were the guitar players. During the '57-'58 season of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, from which one of the photos in this video segment was taken, James Burton was pictured as the guitarist.
For many years I have admired the excellent guitar solo on this recording.
james Burtom
+Steven Miller Burton.
Not Burton's style Barney Kessel makes more sense
@Colin Woodland I believe that Barney Kessel is playing on the earlier version, also on You Tube.

I bet millions of girls were screaming at their television when Ricky first performed this song on his TV show.
Rainbow Dash 4Ever wouldn’t doubt it. Rick was great.
