I am from Missoula Montana and I actually saw Rick at the local Wilma Theater in August of 2014.  It was a really fun show!  In the lobby there was a guitar on display for five-hundred dollars and there was a note attached which said "Comes with two backstage passes to meet Rick after the show."  I was so disappointed because if I had the money, I would have done it in a heartbeat!  It would have been so worth it to have gone backstage after the concert and partied all night with Rick Springfield himself!  I still had a great time though.  There was a part of the concert when he did the song "Human Touch" and he actually came down off the stage into the audience where he began shaking hands with people and giving hugs and signing autographs and I actually got to pat him on the back as he was walking through the audience!  It was quite an experience actually getting to touch THE Rick Springfield!

He is a certified legend in the iconic world of rock music!

Very good lyrics. The act of placing a Couple in Crisis, showing it as a militar conflict as there were in the Middle East, in Beirut, back in the 80's. Couple fights sometimes have military strategies. The video also has very advanced elements, the actors do not walk, move like pieces on a post-war scenario. All faults, as elements that stick to Rick (cookware) while he's singing. A war photographer, a priest from the east, a child that put on him a helmet before the problems come ... A really representation what is a Couple in Crisis.

I was going through a very tumultuous relationship at the time of this album...this song was so influential in my eventually leaving this bad man...I guess in hopes I could meet a 'Rick'!.  God, his music has touched my life in so  many ways for over 30 years.  I adore this man and his talent. I never met a 'Rick' for me...but, have met this Rick and yes, he's as great in person as he is on video!

He didn't care for rock music or pop music....he was bluegrass all the way! And that's what he taught me, and I must admit, it grew on me! This is one of my all time favourite songs by Rick Springfield and I absolutely love the video. It has a lot of dramatic elements in it like when the woman playing his wife is frustrated and angry because she doesn't want to be in Beirut any longer since there is a lot of violence going on. She gets frustrated and walks out on him until he catches up with her and shelters her in the end of the video where they continue coping with their miserable honeymoon. The ending is beautiful.

I just finished reading his book " Late, Late at Night " this song is about the death of his beloved father. He has had quite a life dealing with his Depression. I have a great deal of respect for you Rick because I also suffer from depression.
