Richard, Cliff - Blue Suede Shoes Lyrics

Well, it's one for the money,
Two for the show,
Three to get ready,
Now go, cat, go.

But don't you step on my blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but lay off of my Blue suede shoes.

Well, you can knock me down,
Step in my face,
Slander my name
All over the place.

Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh,
Honey, lay off of my shoes
Don't you step on my Blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.

You can burn my house,
Steal my car,
Drink my liquor
From an old fruitjar.

Do anything that you want to do, but uh-uh,
Honey, lay off of my shoes
Don't you step on my blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.

  6. O.... J....

    Buen Dúo

  7. A.... M....

This is probably why Cliff has never risen to the level of Elvis. Too deferential, somewhat like Shakin' Stevens. Both could have done much better by being themselves.

  8. R.... H....

The artistic creation..and motivation....the understanding that to understand Cliff's lifelong respect and fascination with ELVIS....And actually giving ELVIS the credit for Cliff's breaking into the business....its IMPORTANT for Cliff to EXPRESS his gratitude in this medium....it further fuels the... gee...I wonder... if these two GREATS.... COULD have collaborated on substantial contributions to early rock N Roll.....Gee I wonder???? Great job HarryCliff....God Bless and keep Rock in!!

  9. M.... D....

A lot of Jealousy when he comes to Cliff with Elvis , hes one fan who went on to make it himself

  10. M.... D....

    Fantastic

  11. D.... D....

  12. C.... R....

I actually like this it's giving a slightly different sound to an already great song !

  13. s.... w....

    God. Bless.british elvis.your a good human. Rock.n.roll x

  14. J.... R....

Had it been a slow ballad like Love Me Tender maybe it would have worked. But this just wasn't good.

  15. t.... k....

Two of my favourite singers together at long last. Elvis and cliff.

  16. M.... T....

Could have chosen a better song

  17. I.... T....

    Cliff's wish finally came true.

  18. D.... G....

This is dreadful.I like Cliff but this was a mistake. He would have been better just singing it alone.I get the feelin he was frightened of going up against the King and in effect had Elvis produced out of the track.Completely pointless.Duets with Elvis are not my favorite thing anyway as any vocalist pitting themselves against him are going to come off second best and at worst weak and watery.I put forward here the Fever duet with Michaeal Buble which is sickeningly awful.

    D.... G....

Sorry, I just can't understand your Comments, Cliff has done wonderful song of Elvis

    D.... G....

Micheal Buble is sickeningly Awful,His Mum must have told him he could sing

    D.... G....

Don't put cliff voice second yes elvis had real good range but cliff as to if an when needed he can git up in the high notes

  19. D.... H....

Ain't no wired for sound!! That's for sure!!

  20. D.... H....

    Embarrassing!

    D.... H....

    David Harmsworth
    very suspicious individual

    D.... H....

    Mixed doubles mate?

  21. J.... R....

sound good together the both of them 2 & good vid

  22. P.... W....

Crap!!!! Take Cliff out and your,ve got a great record back!!!!! Cliff should stick to entertaining war criminal Tony Blair at his Barbados Retreat.

  23. l.... c....

How to ruin a great Elvis track

  24. J.... ....

Cliff has a voice that can be comparable to 'The King'

  25. L.... B....

The best duet (which include a video)I have come across so far with Elvis is "If I can dream", with Celine Dion. I don't know how the video was made, for they somehow merged the archive footage of the original video Elvis made in the '60s and blended it into the video with Celine. It does not look like a hollow-gram. The signing is brilliantly edited, and the video is beautiful to watch.

    L.... B....

It doesn't look like a hologram because it's not :) The far-away shots is an Elvis double, a guy in an identical suit, with same hair and almost spot-on movements with the hands. That's what the audience in the room saw, whereas TV viewers (as well as us YouTube viewers that have only seen it here) were treated to Elvis in the close-up shots

    L.... B....

@Jack Hackett The mid and close up shots are rotoscoped from Elvis's 1968 NBC comeback special.

  26. A.... D....

Cliff, I'm so glad you survived 2016, I'll be heart broken when you're gone,...I'm a 47 year old father of two !!!

  27. C.... f....

Cliffs done a great job on this one. Of all the duets with Elvis I've heard...and I've heard them all..this is by far and away the best.

    C.... f....

Pinky Baloo Sorry do not agree - it was all Cliff couldn't even hear Elvis!

    C.... f....

Pinky Baloo well im a elvis presley and cliff richard fan have been for over 40 years or more and this is crap.putting the 2 voices together is just stupid.

  28. D.... W....

    This is really good!

  29. G.... W....

what a load of crap he should give up now lost it

  30. L.... J....

No doubt that Cliff is a great artist

    L.... J....

    No way lol

  31. E.... i....

    Cliff you rock

  32. g.... ....

I remember Cliff's original cover of 'Blue Suede Shoes' (yes, and I remember 'Move It' being released - 22nd August 1958), but let's not forget that it was originally Carl Perkins' number.

    g.... ....

You're right, it's a Carl Perkins song, but we've discovered "Blue Suede Shoes " thanks to Elvis, even in the States, Carl Perkins had a n°1 with it but it was Elvis who promoted the song on TV until then the Carl Perkins single didn't sold well.

    g.... ....

Cliff added space after the first line to pay tribute to the Carl Perkins version.

    g.... ....

Carl Perkins was in an horrific crash of which stalled him from promoting the song. He was hospitalized with his brother. One person was killed. Personally i never listen to Elvis singing Blue Suede Shoes. I much prefer the original by Carl.

    g.... ....

Carl Perkins version is too slow for me.

    g.... ....

@jiel1000 Carl didn't sell well? In fact Carl sold one million copies of his song, and was the first artist that sold this number of copies , while he was on the Sun label. And as a thank you, Sam Phillips gave Carl a cadillac.

  33. P.... T....

I wish I was deaf right now.. fuck this crap..what was Elvis' estate thinking of ????? I thought the Susan Boyle Elvis duet was bad but this takes the piss..leave Elvis' music alone

    P.... T....

Ha Ha ha ! I hate the Boyle - Elvis duet, the Boyle part...Stay alive with this one, it's not that bad but I do understand your funny point of view...sorry for the mistakes, english is not my language.

  34. L.... B....

Now I like Cliff Richard - his Devil Woman is a fabulous song - but his voice just isn't any match with Elvis' in this duet. He's outdone by the King of Rock n Roll I'm afraid.

  35. j.... k....

    This sounds too karaoke.

  36. R.... M....

Should never allow cliff to sing with ELVIS just not good enough

  37. D.... O....

Cliff hasn't got a single rock'n'roll bone in his body! The Elvis estate should never have allowed this in my opinion.

  38. D.... O....

    Poor Elvis...

  39. B.... C....

Will always be my idol, voice is GOOD

  40. M.... C....

    What a twat

    M.... C....

    You are a twat sucka.

  41. M.... M....

Its great to see Cliff back in the charts.

  42. H.... B....

    Famous for his age!

  43. .... ....

Cliff's voice cracked a bit on 1:33. But it seems ok.

    .... ....

Seemed ok to me too, John Lennon's would crack sometimes like in twist and shout but that was cool lol
