REO Speedwagon - Lost In A Dream Lyrics
Lost, lost in a dream (It's a dream)
And I think, it's some evil scheme
They say, that I don't feel, what I feel
But I know, that this ain't no game
What am I supposed to lie?
You're telling me that I could be
A little insane
I tell myself to pull myself
Together again
'Cause I
Ain't been the same

REO Speedwagon Lost In A Dream Comments
I wore this out on vinyl and 8 track! Incredible music.....would love to see/hear some live footage of this era with Mike Murphy....Gary was on fire from start to finish.....this is where he perfected his chops!
loved this album back in high school....listened to it over and over and over
Great Guitar 🙏🎸🙏💜🙏
Happy Birthday today(May 3) to Bruce Hall. Cheers!
Awesome one of my favorite songs
Awesome song I love to listen to
Two of my favorite Speedwagon songs were penned by Bruce Hall. This one and Back on the Road Again. Used to listen to Murphy and Hall do both of those when they played together in The One Eyed Jacks. If my memory serves, Hall sang lead on both. Bruce also played with Richrath in Feathertrain before Gary joined Speedwagon. Bruce was playing in something of an Allman Brothers cover band, Jessie Ross Band, when he got the call from Speedwagon. Good Ole days!
Awesome one of my favorite songs
Hey this is one of my favorite song & Gary Richrath is one of my favorites
Awesome song I love listen 2.
every concert i went to in 74 &75 either REO or Kansas were the warm up band. sometimes both lol.
wore the tread off this LP during the greatest time of my life. I don't believe they'd have gotten much further than the Quad Cities without Cronin. Listening to They'Re On The Road right now just wishing the (Rock?) music today could move me like this album. Wild As The Western Wind! Fuck yeah!
Wilson Pollock Yes, people saying that Mike Murphy was better than Cronin, come on! You can clearly see the difference between minor and major league talent. All the Murphy fans probably also think Metal Machine Music is Lou Reed's best album.
All of u folks who think that Kevin Cronin is any more or less important to the greatness of REO speedwagon, don't know the overall impact not their music on me.
Yes, finally some real REO ! had the album as well :)
Kevin took them thru the 80's but not in my style, he tried duplicating other's Like Zeps Plant and Queens Mercury and turned into a total Fairy (Beyond Gay) which I have no problem.. too Far
havint seen this album scense the eariy 70's. thanks jim
cronin killed these guys
haha this started as a comment and turned into a rant, sorry in advance -
Mike your comment made me laugh, but yeah, he really did, NEVER in any of the "greatest hits" compilations do they (Cronin) give credit or any sort of great acknowledgment to Mike Murphy (yeahhh I don't really care at all about Terry Luttrell, dude was a diva joke and a fake sleeze, if you like him go listen to shitty StarCastle) hell, even on the Ultimate Collection, this is the only song on there by this lineup, with three albums under their belts, guess you could say this was the "Bob Welch" lineup of REO - A major discredit to Alan, Gregg, and Mike
And it's a shame because I have no problems with REO 76 - 80, those were all damn good albums! Well, no use in crying over it anymore, nothing anybody can do now, at least they are all readily available online to listen to - R.I.P. Gary
Nelson NoName I always thought Mike Murphy and Bob Welch should have formed a band - the Flying Follicle Brothers.
Hell yeah! Cronin SUCKS compared Murphy....this was what REO was supposed to be!
raiderkbc If Reo stayed with Murphy we wouldn't even be talking about them now.
Thanks for sharing!
The very first time I heard this song I liked it. Went out and got the album rite away. There best album by far!
I hate short versions of songs.
This was their best album ever.
All respect to Cronin, but I just Loved Mike Murphy! Especially on Ridin the Storm, what a true classic album, many, many, many parties to that one! Long live Classic Rock!
classic rock BEFORE CRONIN!!!!
Great song! I was a teenager growing up on this music. It might sound like my Dad, but music today doesn't have this kind of magic. It has heart. And these guys played instruments. Not computer generated 'whatever' ...
