Might be their best album of all time. The writing is simply brilliant and it’s so catchy. Sure, I love their old sound, but I think change is something that all bands should go through. I love it more and more every time I listen to it. I have no idea which one is my favorite, but there isn’t a bad song on the album. I even enjoyed empty house. It’s an artistic choice and I respect it :)

Couldn't disagree more, they sound better than ever, & this is coming from someone who adores Forget. It's so mature & beautiful omgosh. The lyrics & pure poetry, there's sombre tones of this thing, silly moments, there's something for everyone, what's not to love?

The style. I know they've grown, but we've grown apart.

Older stuff was more original, more free, more raw... I still love them though!

I am not sending this to you to preach religion. I am asking you if you were standing before a Holy God do you think that He would have an issue with your sin if you were standing in front of a Holy God?

Because that is exactly what the Bible tells us. That a Holy God can not be in the presence of sin. So every human being that has ever lived has had the exact same problem. This sin problem. But do you also know that Jesus Christ offers all of us a free gift, the forgiveness of sin. And faith and belief is all God wants from you. So, do you believe that Jesus was the Son of God who came to earth and lived a perfect life? Do you know that God will accept Christ's perfect life and let Christ be your Advocate, so on Judgement Day God doesn't look at all the bad stuff you've done. Instead, God will look at His perfect Son when He see's you. Because Jesus and His perfection literally stand in our place.

Millions Of Raindrops I think it's just a fact of life that as artist grow and change in life and experience that their music changes with them. I'm just glad that God still allows them to make music, I know that they went through some hard times so I'm just excited to hear new tunes from them!

wtf happened to Relient k?, this album is good but it's not what i expected from them...they've lost their sound

Relient K were popular in the scene/emo era. They've become less punk, and this album seems to go in a more upbeat direction. Plus, I think they have less/newer members nowadays.

I think they have grown musically, but maybe not into something we all want. That's how it is with creativity.

They sound better than ever.

Relient K's albums are the best.. so progressive and like tells a story, it's like a journey! It's just amazing, keep it up guys!

I'd say they're absolutely a Christian band still. A lot of it is played in subtext , as per usual, but they're definitely still playing Christian music.

They are openly Christian and i'd classify their music as religious since some songs are clearly about God, relationship etc. but not all songs. I definitely love how they have matured over the years!

Clint Elsik RK seems to always try to add secret songs to their albums. Like Two Lefts Don't Make a Right... But Three Do has the song 'Silly Shoes' at the end of Jefferson Aeroplane. There's often hidden tracks on each album. :D

I've been listening to this album for a month now and I can't stop! I love it sooo much, it's a good mix of happy and sad and recognisable songs. It's really motivating me to go outside more and to live my 'real life' , (re)connect with God everytime I listen to these songs! :)
After 10 years of fandom I hope they will finally visit Europe soon <3

Gives You Hell is by All American Rejects, but I like both their old and new stuff. They give off different vibes, but both make me equally happy.

I love Relient K but not into autotune...

I saw them live and they sounded very much the same. Also I don't think their sound changed that much since they played their older songs as well and they didn't sound like two different bands.

I'm going to have to disagree with you BrianaLynn7. I've been listening to them since about 2002, and if you listen to Relient K and The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek, you'll notice a distinctly different style and tone to their songs. The group has evolved and matured a lot - something that I can really appreciate as I was just a junior in HS when I started listening to them and am a 30-something wife and mother now.

Its possible they have evolved over the years, but live they sounded the same playing their old and new songs. I think their overall sound is similar but they have grown of course.

If you're talking about the song "empty house", I have a theory about that. He is singing about the emptiness of the home without the woman he loved, and his lyrics are often incomplete sentences, to illustrate the feeling of incompletion in his life. I think that even further he uses the unfinished autotune editing step to show that he can't even bring himself to sing and write music fully without her there, the depression is too strong.

In music production, real autotuning is used in almost every song and production. In the steps to creating a "perfect" pitch when a person sings with autotune, the computer will try to guess which notes you are trying to sing, and layers it over the actual recording, then the editor goes and removes excess notes in the pitch line, leaving a perfect Blend of notes, some from the singer, some from the computer filling in according to the key.

But here, Matt did something peculiar- he had the editor stop after the first or second step of autotuning, leaving an unfinished and imperfect sound... I believe this perfectly shows his heart and how he feels imcomplete.

It's beautiful art, to say the least. Never heard of anyone doing anything like this, if that's the reason he chose to do so.

Christian is actually my first name, if that is what you are referencing. Also I'm sure you mean exclusive. And no, this album just doesn't have enough humanity in it for me. Light music, but very little that resonates with the heart.

my fav is Elephant Parade. These guys never let well enough alone. That's one of the main things I've loved about them over the years.

This sounds so much more like owl city, rather than relient k. But I still love it!

I think I know what you mean but the dude from Owl City doesn't have nearly as good a voice as this guy

It's a deep appreciation of Ohio (especially Cleaveland) I believe. I used to live there, so It's very appreciated by me. :D

Cat is a revisit of the style they used in songs like "I'm Lion-O" and "May the Horse Be With You" where they just put themselves in the shoes of various animals for the sake of fun. Matt said in an interview that he has always wanted a cat, so this song is just another one of those let-loose kind of songs, if that makes sense, not really about anything. That is how I interpret it.
