I'll never forget the first time I heard this album in the summer of 2014 (way late to the party). From front to back it is alternative-rock genius at some of its finest.
To anyone who is a big fan of the early alternative era, I highly suggest you look up the band called Mr. Bungle!

This entire song is fucking great, but the outro is among my favorite.

This is their best album

One Hot Minute is my favorite, but this is a close close second.

This song is great and sexy and all, but the ending just sounds so depressing on an otherwise extremely funky song. Following the lyrics "To be with you, to kiss with you, i do miss you, i love you" and "I think i might stay for a while" makes me think that the character Sir Psycho Sexy finally found true love. He finds a girl, they date, start making love, then they get married, then they start a family, only for something awful to happen. Sir Psycho Sexy is either sent to war or something, diagnosed with a terminal illness, or murdered in cold blood. Whatever the circumstance, Sir Psycho Sexy dies, leaving his wife and children devastated as a result. The rain at the very end of the song is his wife at his grave, mourning him. But that's just me

Fun fact: Blood Sugar Sex Magik was supposed to be 16 tracks long with this one being the last one (and that would have been perfect), but the encore has been replaced by They’re Red Hot, They’re Red Hot was recorded at the top of a climb and it was some random fun stuff, it still makes sense to close the album with They’re Red Hot but Sir Psycho Sexy would have been the best encore in a Red Hot Chili Peppers album.
This album covers the theme of sex and this track is the most interesting track on the album because of it’s content, the vibe of the track is amazing, John providing one of the best performances on the album, Flea’s bass has stuck in my head like glue, Chad’s drums are definitely one of the funniest drums to play and Anthony’s funky voice and explicit lyrics make a masterpiece of a song.
