I love this song because, I can really relate to it at times. I love music and this song especially. Because, its teaching you something that you can tell from the song.

And, from the word, "weakness" she means by he takes that as a way to hurt her feelings like he laughs at her when she cries. He doesn't care.

I really like this one song because, its different from the real "because of you" because, its with reba. And, she is upset because of her husband. And, the part where she is putting on makeup she is trying to wipe her tears. And, be a "cover girl" to act like everything ok. But, really it isn't. And, reba is suffering to, because, as she walked away with her husband; and reba watched them. And, she whispered, "because of you"... And, looked back at the mirror and said the same phrase again. She knew everything was not ok. This one is different. Because it talked about her dad trying to abuse her. And, trying to protect her mom. And, in this one her husband is doing the same thing. And, Reba is the mother in law of her. In real life btw. Reba was the one who cared. Not him. So, that just helps you understand everything. She is getting abused by him. And, the line where she said, "because of you, I find it hard to trust not only me but everyone around me. Which is a true fact: because, people are getting mean and hard to trust anymore. And, "I cannot cry because i know that's weakness in your eyes." She covers up her emotions because she doesn't want people to know what happens. So, this song I helpful to a lot of people.. I remember seeing this video on my country station called CMT here in Canada . Reba you have such a beautiful voice. Now our CMT Station plays tv shows not country music that sucks. As I love the Show Reba they play that.
As for the video there is so many men who beat there wives so much behind closed doors . and that should not be allowed . they should be charged and put in jail for 6 months to teach them that you don't beat the ones you love . If people think beating people of for love is just sick .Some people don't know how to leave a relationship because of this abuse from a partner. I know someone that keeps going back to the same abuser. Because she thinks that's all she can get.. He ended up in dying and when she started to date again she got a really nice guy that treated her very nice with dinners & flowers . she did not know how to act because she was so used to being treated like crap . So she treated him like crap because that's all she knew from the relationship .It's sad to see someone go through that. Now she is free from all men . she said she had it . Sometimes we are all better off being alone. People are to fast to date move in about a week and they don't know crap about them . That's the ones you watch out for.

Y'all should watch the in studio version too... i cried when Reba looked at Kelly when they were recording this song, and Kelly just closed her eyes trying to keep it together...that look Reba gave says it all that she felt what Kelly must've have been feeling at the moment.

I still remember when this video 1st released that i was so mad of that guy and i wanna knock him dead for being a jerk to My Queen Kelly(even they just role playing - but the situation is real in life) so avoided playing this song for years. Now i'm here again last day of 2019...guess what i still mad as hell. I can't look at Kelly's eyes in this. So painful. It's like she wasn't acting at all, she is such a good actress she doesn't want to acknowledge it. She is so great in all of her videos and emote well on the massage of each song. I never gave much thought about it even after years of watching this video but I never really realized how this song can affect each person differently. And the first 1,000 times I just thought that this was about a daughter in a abusive relationship and the mother not able to help her. But how it's more of a toxic relationship between a mother and her daughter which led the daughter to toxic relationships with men and now they are singing about the way they are both destroying each other.
I don't know am I right? I guess I'm just slow like that lol. 🤷
