Real Friends - Hebron Lyrics

I've spent the end of my summer
Listening to these songs I know you don't like
I've been wondering where you are and who you're with
We used to lay on your kitchen floor at two a.m.
I was forty miles away from my house but I never felt so at home
I was forty miles away from my house

You never called before you left to move west
I was just dead weight pulling you down
I'll move forward without the person I need
When somethings fallen apart as many times as us
I can't put it back together it's not the same

You still run through my head every night
When I lay in bed

You used to cover up the cigarette burn on the passenger seat
of my car

Now there's just empty coffee cups
And long drives by myself

Real Friends Hebron Comments

This song hurts my soul I swear

  2. M.... F....

you hated my music and this song, yet it makes me think of you anytime i hear it.

  3. W.... ....

The way Dan screams 'You still run through my head every night when I lay in bed' is something that is indescribable until you hear it. It's pure human emotion in a few short sentences, I can definitely relate 😬

  4. w.... ....

I had a best friend, we were best friends for 10 years until we decided to start dating. We dated for four years until he proposed to me. He was my best friend. I just couldn't fall in love with him. Not that kind of love where you know you're in it. Just a love that a best friend has for another best friend. I ended our engagement and flew away to Los Angeles. I lived there for 5 years and have not spoken a word to him since we broke up. He is married now and that solidifies what I did was the right thing to do. I hardly look back, since I know we are better from breaking up. But I do miss my best friend sometimes. He hated my music. Real Friends, Front Bottoms, Saves The Day. Something about this song makes me bawl. Brings up a pain I hardly ever feel. And for some reason, I put it on repeat. As if the residual pain is all I have left from us.

  5. O.... T....

    i am in pain

  23. D.... C....

How can anyone dislike this song ?

  24. h.... ....

omg watch this in 0.25 speed, it sounds terrifying

    h.... ....

I have yet to find a song that doesn't sound terrifying at 0.25 speed.

  25. M.... S....

"I spent the end of my summer listening to these songs I know you don't like."

Makes me think of my ex. She didn't like this song.

    M.... S....

funny how we got the resemblance

    M.... S....

Matt Slifka makes me think of my past 2 exes. They never liked any of my music, what's worse is how they'd pretend to like it but in reality never gave a shit lol. Just makes the song that much better though

    M.... S....

    Same here dude

  26. e.... m....

When Dan screams I get the chills.

  27. H.... M....

@Alissa Anne It's about Hebron, IN! I'm from Hebron, IN. The guitarist Kyle apparently dated a girl from here. I don't know who it is though.

    H.... M....

@Haley Miller I'm Friends with the sister of the girl he dated lol

  28. H.... M....

  29. b.... j....

This makes me think of my old bestfriend. I'm so sorry I screwed up.

  30. J.... G....

Is this song about Hebron, Illinois? If so, that's my hometown... Small world!

    J.... G....

    They're from Illinois, so probably?
I'm from Australia, so just a guess :P

    J.... G....

It's actually about a small town in Hebron, Inidiana.
    where his ex-girlfriend lived.

    J.... G....

    @Brandon Pedraza *Indiana fuck

  31. R.... O....

my ex was really into these guys. and he got me into pop punk, real friends especially, but it kind of sucks trying to move on from a guy who doesn't give a shit about you while trying to listen to my favorite band, which he introduced me to.

    choke me.

    R.... O....

Don't focus on that just enjoy the music and think about any good times you might of had listening to this instead of focusing on oh this is the band my ex showed me :)

  32. T.... L....

This song still chokes me up. It was the only song i could relate to when the love of my life left me, thank you Real friends, you truly are REAL friends

  33. m.... ....

This song is about the relationship between Jenny and Forrest.

  34. l.... ....

you used to cover up the cigarette burns on the passenger seat of my car. Now there's just empty coffee cups, and long drives by myself

  35. M.... ....

This song is just perfect. Always takes me back to the memories of that one person I will never forget.

  36. p.... ....

This song is just absolutely amazing. love Real Friends, all of their lyrics are on fucking point. js

  37. s.... ....

you used to cover up the cigarette burn on the passenger seat of my car

  38. M.... B....

idk man, the wonder years are one of the realest bands out there right now

  39. C.... S....

My girlfriend just left me and is about to move west. These feels, man...

  40. s.... d....

    in the song.....

  41. J.... S....

Where can I find lyrics for their songs??

  42. E.... B....

hell yeah dude. im from oak lawn, the next town over from where theyre from, and their shows are hands down the BEST local shows ive ever been to. im glad atleast somebody from the southside is getting somewhere, cuz our music scene is so bad

  43. A.... ....

Real friends > wonder years, by FAR.

  44. D.... C....

I live in Winfield, Indiana. 10 minutes away from Hebron. Not that it matters, just pretty awesome

  45. D.... R....

This song really hits home for me and seriously makes me cry every time. I listen to it on repeat non stop.

  46. K.... K....

    Perfection

  47. t.... ....

No one will understand what this song means to me

  48. N.... A....

this is a weird combination of pop punk and emo

  49. T.... ....

holy fuck, this song is the most beautiful thing. ♥

  50. M.... S....

    soooo many

  51. s.... v....

I hear a bunch of influences. Just like I do with most bands. I have a feeling these guys use to love Drive Thru Records.

  52. c.... ....

    the feels~

  53. D.... D....

They're describing Hebron, IN. Hebron is roughly 40 miles away from Tinley Park, from whenced the band comes from.

  54. M.... ....

    Hebron, ky

  55. A.... A....

Question: Are they referring to Hebron, IL or Hebron, IN? Does anybody know?

  56. B.... K....

real friends are fucking amazing. but it pisses me off when people say they "rip off the wonder years"...you do realize that more than one band can sing about this kind of stuff and the wonder years definitely were the first to do it. shut the fuck up and listen to the damn music. Real Friends kick The Wonder Years ass anyway

  57. C.... L....

This song is a rough boat ride down the raging river of feels...

  58. h.... ....

    I agree

  59. M.... T....

    0.00-2.23 best part!

  60. D.... ....

Well, they are Real Friends, afterall.

  61. T.... C....

The fuck is wrong with you?

  62. 1.... ....

"Insert comment on how lyrics are so cliche and sounds like other pop punk bands, reiterate that its already been done before; end statement".

  63. c.... ....

Lol no joke, he sounds like he's really stoned or on mushrooms

  64. c.... d....

    god so much gpoy

  65. T.... E....

This fucking rips my heart out every time I listen to it.

    T.... E....

Five years later and it’s still doing it to me

  66. B.... K....

but the wonder years aren't the only band doing that, and they definitely weren't the first. that's just kind of the theme of pop punk, and i think they are being sincere with the lyrics

  67. J.... T....

I still think this music is amazing

  68. N.... ....

You still run through my head every night, when I lay in bed

  69. T.... C....

    All these feels

  70. S.... ....

i'm sorry, and i agree everyone has their own opinion; but music is about how you feel, and i think this song is fucking amazing. I can relate. Expressions or feeling i music never gets old, that's what it's about.

  71. S.... H....

    /watch?v=fFkSJ-NkJMk

  72. B.... W....

my comment had nothing to do with the kind of people they are in relation to the wonder years. i'm talking about their MUSIC and how much lack of innovation and personal style they have

  73. s.... ....

'dropyourcalls' got it totally right. People seem to be latching on to any band that writes lyrics about 'missing home' and 'feeling kind of okay now' - its not new anymore! It seems so superficial to me because its clear they've just had the upsides on repeat and then picked up a guitar. On the other hand, great songs come out of bands like this, the lyrics however...not cool anymore.

  74. s.... ....

    You're totally right!

  75. A.... C....

Thanks a bunch for the uploads.

  76. a.... r....

    Emotion.

  77. 1.... ....

    I'm glad you agree.

  78. B.... W....

I don't know, just doesn't sound sincere to me for some reason and all my friends flip out over and worship them since we're from like 10 minutes from where they're from and this song is about a town next to mine.

  79. B.... W....

yes, that is the only explanation to someone having a different opinion than you.

  80. N.... B....

THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS FEELS

  81. 1.... ....

    Must be tripping balls.

  82. p.... p....

    so so so good

  83. A.... J....

Holy shit how could you get a "bad vibe" from these guys they are beyond perf. Bless your soul @EricPwnzYou for putting these up. It's been on repeat. <3

  84. H.... D....

Hii. My name is Hannah im daves cousin and i just wanted to say good job guys and keep it up you have really made it far

  85. D.... P....

You truly have never met them then. One of the few bands that actually connects with their fans and says thank you on a daily basis to how much we mean to them. UNLIKE the wonder years. Granted, I've met them once, but they were the biggest bunch of arrogant people I've ever met. Still love their music, but it doesn't mean near as much to me as Real Friends does. They actually stick around, chat with their fans, and say thank you. Just sayin.

  86. B.... W....

    Definitely not

  87. S.... F....

    You're joking right now right?

  88. B.... W....

I want to like this band more than I actually do but none of their songs seem sincere, and it seems like they're trying to ride on the coat tails of bands like the wonder years who write lyrics about the same subjects but aren't artificial. I just get a bad vibe from them.

  89. E.... S....

    you know it!

  90. E.... S....

    no problem :)

  91. S.... M....

    thanks for putting these up!
