Rapsody - Redblue Lyrics

[J.I.D:]
Uh, red blood, red blood drops, Red was a young light skin nigga from the block
Red blood he thug he was a product of his pops
Pop a lock pop a pop-pop-pop a nigga for some guap
Red blood drops, red blood drop, red dropped right out of school he's a lefty with the Glock
Red got into the usual maneuvering the block red, white, green, blue, red, next steady watching
Red blood drops finally got shot but he didn't die it only made him wilder
And revenge is an easy way for him to gain power, game over, gunpowder
Women crying holding flowers for dead, Red
Roses are red, violets are blue, violence forget violence annihilate your crew
Silence among tyrants terrorising, Y'all niggas banging on your web browser we can't allow ya
To infiltrate the shit that we been kickin' since the slaves
Still better than my demons tryna lock us in a cage ok, ok, ok
I see how we gon play less, said that they reserved a seat for who play for mayhem
D-d-dayum, in the nighttime, and the AM and the body red it's flay 'em
Fuck the red, the white, the blue, only areas are grey
Red never drop his flag and he banging to this day or to the day he D.O.A
Even if he pray he probably won't be ok but fuck it

[Rapsody:]
But fuck it (fuck it)
He read my mind, he probably won't live a day past 28, 29
Legally drinks, in a wink roller-rink date propose, and she break down crying, toast red wine
Count down the days 'till the baby's a full-blown now
Momma's a grand-momma she proud, look at her child
Watching this child grow up, kiss your wife when she come home from work
Dream job, best friend's still involved, hanging late nights
Reminiscing 'bout the red, blue blue, red red
Ok but daddy's still got life, child first game, first name, he is every milestone 'till he grown, graduating
And he vacationin' after retirement, with his wife alone somewhere in North Ireland
That's your life I know that everyone desire it but how we gon live long as they keep firing
That red blue, blue red pill, pill real real, do you live reality or are you in the matrix still?

Man nah, nah, nah, rap you gotta come harder than that man
Stop playing with these niggas man, go ahead and give it to em
Really rap it

[Rapsody:]
Uh, when you confident, fuck compliments nigga I got so much steam I don't ever hide facts
I came on my momma not a wrinkle on me nigga, when you straight as me, fuck niggas can't understand that
Talk a lot'a shit but they ain't talkin' bout shit watch me scare the shit out these niggas tallest in the back
Wash my hands show I'm really done with niggas if you got a problem then I hope it come with luck
Can't make a couple diamonds without the homie [?] we already been the future without the gram bruh
I'm back in L.A on my bullshit like cops that pull quick on niggas that just happen to be black
I don't believe you like we don't believe that, get so much respect I could rock a blue L.A cap
Welcome home, baby girl where you been at? I'll dodge your bullshit, matador, they mad at that
But I just laugh at these niggas, hahahahahaha

    C.... K....

Colin Kolo niggas ain't got they ears trained up properly.

    C.... K....

    She killed it

  36. X.... T....

They killed this, Kendrick would have sent it over the top

    X.... T....

    @Hazel Amarie Exactly

    X.... T....

@Hazel Amarie Regardless, he's right. Also I'm as big a Jid fan as there is but it's stupid to keep bringing that up when this comment literally said nothing about Kendrick sounding like JID. Just cause he said Kendrick would have sent it over the top (true statement) doesn't quantify that response.

    X.... T....

@Eamon Moore Why tf do people bring up Kendrick whenever J.I.D is on a track? This song had nothing to do with Kendrick so there was no need to bring him up....You claim Kendrick would have brought the song to new heights when J.I.D ALREADY did that....You sound more like a Kendrick stan.

    X.... T....

@Hazel Amarie I'm a JID stan if anything as I said, he's my favorite rapper that's why I'm listening to this song. That being said as a JID fan yourself I'm sure you can agree Kendrick based on his works is probably the best rapper going right now. This song does have something to do with Kendrick in that the subject matter could easily be something Kendrick would rap on and the beat is very jazz influenced which Kendrick thrives on. It's not like Kendrick would add something that's not there. It just would have been another incredibly dope verse. I believe "bring the song over the top" isn't the best choice of words, but it's not wrong to say he would have fit perfectly fit in an additional verse and the song would be even better. Kendrick on this song would be a clash of three rap titans how wouldn't that make the song even better.

    X.... T....

Kendrick dont need to be on every fucking thing shit

  37. D.... K....

I love how this is 3 different perspectives j.i.d is blood, the rhapsody mid is neutral, then last verse is crip ("blue la cap" "cuh")

  38. D.... K....

"That red blue, blue red pill, pill real real, do you live reality or are you in the matrix still?" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  39. G.... ....

    This man JID is different

  40. T.... 1....

    My god, this is flawless

  41. J.... H....

Long live the king of rap J.I.D is here

    J.... H....

No one not name Eminem is king

    J.... H....

    He’s no Kong of rap

  42. A.... g....

Rapsody is so underrated...love everything she puts out

    A.... g....

Facts She Doesn't Get Props She Deserves

    A.... g....

    My favorite female rapper!

  43. P.... D....

first time catching an album in the first 24-hours :)

  44. A.... M....

    JID💯💯💯💥

  45. R.... R....

Two of my favorite rappers out right now ❤️

  46. S.... ....

Baby Kendrick he can’t go wrong

  47. G.... R....

Aint nobody touching flows like J.I.D. you cant change my mind

    G.... R....

TheUndertaker89 he's hit or miss on my opinion. Klink was my favorite song currently though...until I heard this.

    G.... R....

Blake Farmer Blake Farmer nah bruh, I will disagree with you. Smino’s flow is multi-dimensional, abstract and unpredictable. Each song has so many different flows, his transition from one flow to another is smooth as fuuuuuuuuck just like JID. It took me 3 tracks from BLKSWN to get an understanding of how unique his flow is. I’m not saying JID is better than Smino and vice versa, I’m saying to the OP if you fucks with JID’s flow you should mos def take a crack at Smino.

    G.... R....

I wanna bring up Rap sooo bad but with her its more her confidence/delivery as opposed to just strait up flow... I feel like I should bring up Phonte as well, he has full 16's where he doesn't even rhyme on purpose and they're still some of the hardest verses you ever heard because he rides the beat so perfectly... Lupe, Kendrick, Posdnous from De La and Em (even tho I've never been a fan of his) deserve to be mentioned too...

    G.... R....

Gino Rodriguez don’t forget about Joyner Lucas boi but I luh Jiddy though

    G.... R....

    Gino Rodriguez and Saba too

  48. D.... B....

I need this beat. I though of more red shit

  49. C.... ....

I don't know why everybody is hating on the beat, shit is dope. The engineer just didn't sit the vocals in the way they should've.

    C.... ....

    the beat is really dope

    C.... ....

    Who's hating?

    C.... ....

@klynch572 3 weeks ago, when the song first dropped, the only comments were people hating on the beat

  50. T.... N....

The best is lowkey trash can barely hear what y’all are saying

    T.... N....

nah its just not mixed properly. It sounds good on my studio speakers but trash in the headphones

  51. K.... K....

My fav J.I.D verse in a while

    K.... K....

@Eamon Moore Right and that is what makes J.I.D so great.....His versatility.

    K.... K....

Hazel Amarie no argument here lol

    K.... K....

Listen to ‘Working Out’ by JID on the colors show

    K.... K....

@Darion Foster YES! That's so far my favorite from the DiCaprio singles (even though it's not officially released yet)

    K.... K....

This one, colors and the song with denzel curry are all lyrical masterpieces

  52. B.... B....

I like the verses but the production is bad

    B.... B....

@Bruh Bruh yeah I can barely hear the homie JID

    B.... B....

    Âhməđ ƏŁhâğ 🤨🤨🤨

    B.... B....

    Jay Anderson real dumb

    B.... B....

That’s good if the beat is bad for me, let’s me focus on the lyrics and bars more

  53. D.... P....

What the fuck!! Why isn't this album live!?!?

  54. O.... ....

    J.I.D is the future

  55. f.... t....

    Rapsody way too nice. Damn.
