I remember when this came out, my friends never heard of them and thought the were not a real rock band but, actors. Even though, I had been listening to them since like 77 and had even played their albums when they were hanging out at my room.

If it weren't for the American Ramones, Sex Pistols wouldn't even sound punk. His manager took the political themes of MC5 and the speed of the Ramones, to form a boy band. Fun fact.

I remember watching the movie back in the 80's when I was a kid. First time I heard and seen The Ramones. One of few life changing things in my life. Shortly after, my babysitters introduced metal to me. After that, I fell in love with punk and metal.

@L. F. Three years?...The Ramones 1st album was in 76...this is 79....Tommy left like 78....so by your math, you're telling me Marky was the original drummer...don't think so.

@JP M  Nope. What did I say is that they started in 1974, Tommy left in 1977, when Marky joined and this is from 1980. So, at this point, half of the band's history was with Marky sitting on the drums.
