Only the Ramones could pull off a song like this and make it kick fucking ass. Their music and lyrics were soooooooo simple but soooooooooo profound. Joey was "every-guy" on the microphone - everybody could relate to what he sang. Fucking amazing band.

When End of the century came out , they had an album signing event in Hollywood . I made it to the event and now it's one of my greatest moment in my life . I first heard this one on the All the Stuff, Vol. 1 album. Couldn't understand why they didn't release this on the American version of "Leave Home." Instead, they threw the weaker version of "Sheena" on there. (By weaker, I mean listen to the guitar on the Rocket to Russia version of "Sheena" -- it's much heavier than the "poppy" Leave Home version.)

@unclemort1960 Yeh, 'Babysitter' was on the original UK vinyl of 'Leave Home', it replaced 'Carbona Not Glue'.

one of the eary tracks... it was released on a split ramones/misfits record - ramones have three songs on the record: i don't wanna be learned/i don't wanna be tamed, i can not be and babysitter. maybe it was re-released later on ramones mania, not sure...
