Thomas Bie I can hear the parallels in the harmony. Don’t know the technical term for the sound. It’s not exactly discord....the voices complement each other melodically, but not in perfect harmony either.

Cool vid. I like Jack best when he's acting down to earth, just like he is here. Never thought he could top the Stripes. But I like the music he put out with this band almost as much. So talented.  

I don't think Brendan gets enough credit in this band. Let's not forget he cowrote all of the songs with Jack and did a wicked job of singing lead vocals half the time. And also he's great at backing up when Jack sings lead.

captaingymshorts: I agree. Therefore, he gets plenty of credit from me! It's funny, though - Brendan and Jack sound eerily similar at times. The whole band is amazing, and wouldn't be the same with any one of the members removed. Also, Patrick Keeler is just ridiculously underrated as a drummer. He is outstanding!

this is totally an unjust conclusion. jack's solo album seemed to me as more of a return to understatement as opposed to experimentation, which he had been doing for the last 5 or so years.

Same here! I really dig Brenden's vocals! He writes practically all the songs with Jack! Plus he sings just a tad bit better than Jack, but its a different style of singing so its alright.

@TheRiversOwn What's great about this band is that it's equal parts Jack White, Brendan Benson, and The Greenhornes. There's elements from all three components, but none overpower the others. It's a perfect blend of three distinct disciplines of music. It's a shame they didn't stay together longer.
