Love the composed guitar solos with two guitars in perfect harmony. Showed this to my son who plays viola in school because it sounds so much like a string section of the orchestra.

I can remember when the Fisrt EP came out. Then this. There was nothing like it at the time. To me its still one of the best Albums ever made!

I fondly remember hearing this on my Walkman headphones back in 1984 and getting the chills from the machine voices at the end! I need to revisit this album, it would seem.

The twin lead break is a monster, strange bends and timings, very unique.

Tate's voice/singing in this song sounds like a Dalek. I guess it's pretty appropriate!

Now this is Queensryche at the top of thier game. No other can top this Rage for Order was good Operations Mind Crime was epic but this was Metal. Hate that they split and argue over the rights to the music. I wish they would just realize that they were apart of something that will never to me will ever happen again. Metal 80's

Been a Queensryche fan since the EP came out.
I purchased this album when it was released and was mesmerized with each track.
NM156 completely blew me away! IMO this track set the bar for progressive metal!

What a shame they were great. I personally like the heavier, faster Queensryche but after MINDCRIME I stopped following their music it became WAY too pop/commercial for me.I knew after I bought MINDCRIME it was over for me. Their story is very similar to STYX. But I bought THE WARNING on VINYL lol the week after it came out not even hearing anything they did. But at the time metal was making a HUGE transition from slow heavy SABBATH sounding stuff to faster more guitar orientated stuff w/way more solos. Just wish they stayed on track with the stuff they did 1st 2 albums.

If They Hadn't Made An Album After Promised Land They Would Be My Favorite Band Ever, Even Over Sabbath And Maiden. From The L. P. Album To Operation Mindcrime They Were As Great As Any Band And Those Albums L. P. Warning, Rage For Order, Operation Mindcrime Are Great Albums, Empire Is Really Good But Not Great And I Really Hate Silent Lucidity And Jet City Woman For How Mainstream They Are, Promised Land Was A Good Album But Not Very Good, After That They Became A Whole Different Band. I Still To This Day Consider In My Opinion Geoff Tate The Best Metal Singer, Then Dio, Dickinson, Halford.

It always reminded me of 1984, Fahrenheit 451 and The Handmaid's Tale.
