Puscifer - Life Of Brian (Apparently You Haven't Seen) Lyrics
Obsession has an odor
Tunnel vision has a tell
Fanatical behavior
Seems to fit you well
You're missing what you don't, though
Crazy wouldn't notice
Have a lonely life in your chosen hell
Metaphors just point the way
Towards untouchable ideas
Fixating on the finger
Missed the point, dull the point as well
Dull the point, miss the point
Dull the point as well
Obsession has an odor
Tunnel vision has a tell
It's fanatical behavior
Have a lovely life in your chosen hell

Puscifer Life Of Brian (Apparently You Haven't Seen) Comments
Comment 93. I have seen both the movie and my own life version. I shall use this song for majik. What a gift- no one knows.
Brian
My baby brother name is Brian hicks. And he committed suicide last Aug 7. I didn't even know about this song and I have been a fan 4 yrs. Well I just heard it and realize the name of the song .well his 37th birthday is September 30
Happy birthday baby brother. Oh by the way the song fits him to a T .your awesome Maynard James. I do believe that the dead speaks out to us we just have to listen 4 it .the dead speaks to you when your ready to listen to them. It's a beautiful thing that your loved ones are still all around U.
Always look on the bright side of death, just before you draw your terminal breath. Life's a piece of shit when you look at it, life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true. You'll see it's all a show, keep them laughing as you go, just remember that the last laugh is on you.
Loved Monty Python. 😉
Is this about marilyn manson? Hahahaha
I see more than youl ever know some things you need to turn a blind Eye and continue to what is right.
Miss the point dull the point
Who is the “Brian” that Maynard is referencing...? If this so-called “Brian” truly exists then, I recommend Maynard (the intellect) point him the right direction, instead of talking shit
I think Maynard got into a FB debate about people wasting time with music idol fanaticism when they should be out creating instead of drooling over people who do. The name of the person he was debating/arguing with is Brian
Marilyn manson(Brian?Warner)?!?!
Probably a double meaning it is also a Monty Python movie about people following fanaticism.
@Matthew Ferguson Yes indeed.
That entire last minute or so is a fucking masterpiece.
The problem that ihave is the often awful lyric placement
bad ass. \,,/
Lmao anyone get the life of Brian reference?
I hope so.
Did you get the APC, "so long and thanks for all the fish" reference? I sure hope so...
Bloody favoritism.
Just everyone
Yeah. Got it and all the other references, too.
Brian
a fucking special song

Make sure to check out the links in the description. Thanks!
that vocal intro is fucking awesome

I started to read this as the song said this... the timing is unreal
@Ckinsman that keeps happening to me on YouTube. I'll get to a certain part in a song at the same time I'm reading a comment about that segment.
Sex, sex, sex. That's all they think about. Well, how have you been officer?
Focal points set ideas or rules which creates a box blinding you from truth because of the 4 walls disabling vision
Minyard keep up the good work I love you the passion in your music. Ps the wine is good . Keep seeing with your third eye........
Corinthian Boling wish I could afford his expensive wine! I looked into it, and there's no damn way! Hope his talents for wine making is as lovely as his talents in music making.
Lexie Graham Even if I could afford it, as someone who doesn't drink wine normally I think it'd be a waste. The guy crafts these great wines for people who can appreciate them, it'd be selfish as a fan of his music to buy it just because of that I think.
keep up the passion!
Scary avatar! I like it!
if I could choose a hell it would be sitting here listening to puscifer on youtube :P
What damit funny shit ¥
This is my favorite Puscifer song. :)
But I have seen Life of Brian . . .
Huge BigUps to whoever put this here!
Oh! So good, to be able to choose my own Hell! ;)
How is there not over a million views!?

(☞ຈل͜ຈ)☞
Sara Wilder cuz ur gay
so this song is totally about obsessive pretentious Tool fans right?
+Joshua Adams The song is also criticism of those with examined faith and a lack of intellectual curiosity. The title hints that if they had watched Life of Brian, they would not suffer from this fate. I'm an obsessive Tool fan waiting on their next album. lol Of course the beautiful of art is you take what you want from it based on your own reflections and experiences in life.
@Robert Arias Makes perfect sense.
Joshua, Old comment; new reply: yes, I think so. Fuck them all!
Or obsessive and pretentious Puscifer fans too I imagine. It is funny how people seem to think MJK hates his fans. He still tours, and sells out more shows with Tool than with his other projects. Have a lovely life in your chosen hell.
DrOctosean 👏
Reminds me of How to Destroy Angels/Trent Reznor at 3:14
+Pepe Badsman Which song?
+Austin L "We Fade Away"
@Pepe Badsman Thanks, I'll check it out.
there is not much Maynard won't say that doesn't hit home... the older he gets the better I become. I've found self thru his words now it's being solidified... and yet... he's a human just like the rest of us. the force is strong in this one
"the older he gets the better I become."
mfw typo makes the sentence even better.
Exactly. With every album you get a feeling like he is connected to our generation, and as he ages, we do, and feel the same about certain subjects/have near same vibes. He just nails it as an artist.
@Ryan To be fairly honest. He fits so very perfectly. Thats some kinda Buddha we have never seen before.
I started out liking only a few songs on this album, now I have to say its their best album yet. Just great. Maynard has really evolved well over the years.
+MrSh0wtime3 your name ends whith 3
you posted that 3 monthes ago...
Meanwhile the guy next was 3 weeks ago....
and the guy under THAT was 3 days ago...
Just broke the change? No i'm probably looking at that later...3 minutes ago

MrSh0wtime3 its just another form of his transmutation, I love your introspective charity my nerd
John B you've got 3 likes on your year old comment
For me this is true of pretty much everything Maynard touches. I ALWAYS hate his new material, until I think it's the most brilliant thing he's ever done.
@Rob S nope
I always had been questioning myself weather Maynard could heighten Puscifer by surpassing COMP. And he certainly has with Money Shot.
Oh I don't think I've ever seen quite as awesome of a band group shot as that one
is this song about the movie?
album not really doing it for me, but this....this song is fantastic, particularly when carina's vocals come in @ 3:38...wow
+Onmysheet You should really give simultaneous a listen. It's my favorite on the album so far.
@Taunic Yeah that's good too.
+Dennis Mundy I want to have sex with her voice! So wonderful. Not that I wouldnt do some pretty scrupulous things to her. But her voice is just so god damned beautiful. I hope she sticks around to do more work with puscifer
That's not just carina. Her voice is definitely prominent but she also does a lot of harmony with mahsa zargaran throughout the album. Both are gorgeous and their voices will put you in a trance.
Saw them live in April and Carina did Rev 22:20 solo and it was awesome
Dennis Mundy that's too bad, they made this album just for you. Says on the liner notes, 'made for Dennis Mundy.'
favorite from the new album.
finalmente
3:14 - is that a muted trumpet, or is it a synthesized horn effect? Either way, it's intriguing. This album is inspiring and fantastic!
+Devin Kennedy definitely a synth
+Andrew Fredette This^ the girl on the far left is doing it with a synth board thing.
+Devin Kennedy Could be a sound modelled and filtered, or it's possible that it's a sample that is modified later.
Both could get you very similar sounds if you know what are you doing.
