I like a handful of maynards songs but I couldn't hop on board, most of it seems to be edgy for the sake of being edgy. Like he knew what to market to, and pandered to it as hard as possible. This song is a prime example of his formula. He's a sellout the same as the rest of 'em. If you can't make it doing what is truly yours, than you shouldn't make it. It's like selling your soul, because instead of living YOUR life, you're living someone elses for a little bit of money.

He has like a dozen projects going that all make him bank and has been a millionaire since the 90s. I doubt he's forced to do anything for more money.

I didnt have an awakening via the music. But i had a mental breakdown in April. Tool became/ is a spiritual experience. Many songs have taken on new meaning. My re-awakening occurred in June. But that was hidden in another place.

Honestly, Maynard's lyrics throughout his bands and his singing... have helped me a lot. I'm going through some tough shit in my life but it's ultimately a personal test. I need to work through it and Tool especially have helped me so much so far. This song helps me let go and stop holding in my emotions. It's like a release. Thank you.
