Public Image Ltd. - Save Me Lyrics
When it all began - born on desert sands
Desperate citizens - led by scorpions
Now the condition - religious discipline
Foraging fanatacism
Heaven this mouth of soap
So save me
This camel in the needles eye
Will laugh and let you die
Tear from limb to limb - take this pound of flesh
Searing choking dust - madness full of lust
Tear from limb to limb - take this pound of flesh
Save me - save me
Faith in foolish words - cows now join the herd
A mass of mindless ants - dead as decadence
Grind this golden crock - and bleat among the flock
Save me
Back - back to the country
Back to mother earth
Out near sellafield my nuclear birth
And save me
Save me, save me, save me, save me, save me

Fucking quality song/album.
Rotten goes psychedelic, aided by the best guitarist to come from punk.
Dub sounding bass, brilliant drumming, black backing singers.
What's not to like?
LEGENDARY !
In all my 48yrs-STILL one of the rockingest albums I've ever bought!
Glorious
P.I.L is more than the reflection of an era. It’s an asteroid phantom that returns to devote itself to the art of sound. A decadent wave loaded with paradoxes from which obscurantism and irrational escape, hypnotic factors defying vulnerable souls in search of the absolute. This sound architecture is a short tunnel that leads to light ....... ;-)

Good lord, that rhythm section is absolutely killing it. SICK BASS
John McGeoch was genious!
One of my favorite albums!
yes! i love this song!
awesome!
well... we like it though! :-)
you're welcome :-)
Utterly Pristine ClasSick
Their best album, in pop terms anyway. Arty farts are always going on about metal box, but the reality is they probably have only listened to it a couple of times, full of shit. Yeah metal box is good but some of the songs are too fucking long. This is quality!!
PIL never got the recognition they deserved. Soooooo much crap out there these days and 'musicians' who are getting rich and famous. so annoying.
Atmospheric PIL... John McGeoch was a guitar wizard
one of the most underrated albums of all time
My favourite PiL track. I've listened to this hundreds of times.
Hands down, the best song on the album. McGeoch was a guitar great!
Thank you!!
this song was also used for Agnes Varda´s film "Kung-Fu Master" / "Petit Amour"...
