Protest The Hero - Moonlight Lyrics
Yawn awake
Familiar surroundings
All hotel rooms are pretty much the same
Although the room number might change
Catch a glimpse of everything within the lighter's flame
There's always a window, but so changes the view
Affording a clue to the answer that's owing
Where we might be and where we might be going
There's no fixed address but the van, white as a suburb
Catch a reflection in store windows
As we're headed in any direction
So press your head against the window
look outside at emptiness
Take a picture at every mile
Lock the door and start the engine Quince it's gonna be a while
Tell a joke, take a piss
Take a picture at every mile
Start the van, close the door, Quince I think it's gonna be a while
The climates flay themselves
Undress themselves at the side of the road
Commute at the union between failure and hope
Weave a highway line to stitch a skirt out on the land
Twist and turn, and tell a story like the palm of your hand
Ponder awe and wonder, keep watching the skies
Wonder awe, and ponder in the blink of an eye
The climates flay themselves
Undress themselves at the side of the road
Commute at the union between failure and hope
Turn our weakness into
Turn our blindness into
Turn our questions into answers as obvious
Turn our weakness into might, oh
Turn our blindness into sight
Turn our questions into answers just as obvious
As moonlight in the darkest, darkest night

Protest The Hero Moonlight Comments
"Maybe some day when our bloody skulls have dried. No more cities in ruin and our greatest source of pride; a monument of dicks and ribs and the gender crown we wore, and underneath a plaque will read 'No Woman is a Whore' " 💖 thank you for sharing this album...it helped me get through some of the hardest times of my life. 💖
I'm still here. This band is so good. ;_ ; too bad I can never see them live...
why not?
I love the journey this song goes through, it is poetry in true savage motion
You see, that's what I love about PtH. Their music/sound reaches down somewhere raw yet invigorating, but their lyrics invoke some deeper meaning. Like, when you stop to really listen or even read their lyrics, it just leaves you speechless. You don't have to say anything, how it makes you feel says it all.
They're all brilliant musicians. Arif wrote the majority of lyrics last I knew, but even Rody's lyrics are deep-reaching and beautifully poetic. I don't care how old I get, this band will always have a place in my heart.
Arif was the lyricist for C'est La Vie, Moonlight and Sex Tapes

This song is kickass!!!!
1:48 that part kinda sounds like deftones, especially the vocals. Wouldn't surprise if they were an influence for pth
gran producción
Is this their hardest song to play on guitar? I'd say this and Drumhead Trial are up there. That tapping is loco!
Moonlight isn't actually that hard. It's really just alot of parts. "Without Prejudice" is a really hard one. Also Underbite and Clarity. They overdid it on Volition xD
this might be the hardest song on scurrilous but the tapping is the easiest part imo. idk maybe tapping is just easier than picking for me but this is the only album I can really play + underbite off volition. though even the tapping part of without prejudice is beyond me lol
Without prejudice is fucking beyond.
Even they can't play it xD
@Meta Lord @Meta Lord Yeah that song is on another level, even for PtH. Learning it at 50% tempo, kinda embarrassing!
3:58 - 4:10 gets me wet
I feel like this song is about touring
Grasshoppa Bruner "there's no fixed address but the band" yes this song is about touring.
As moonlight in this darkest darkest night!
4:09 LOVE the ending. Makes me feel powerful! Lifts you up :D
"Well what is it?"
Somehow it does not surprise me that this song has 0 dislikes ;-)
Not anymore
3:10
Holy fucking shit.
3:13 is the beginning of my ear orgasms
this song is so sick
Apparently a good friend of Rody
Quince, it's gonna be awhile.
Except, I don't know who Quince is.
Quince, I think it's gonna be awhile...until I figure out who you are.
Lucas Jenkins lmao
WHAT DID THIS COMMENT EVEN MEAN???
quince is a word used in the song "quince it's gonna be awhile" is a line in the song
Hahahahahaha
The guy who drives/drove their tour bus
4:10 - finish <3
3:00
I have an instant will to move my head from side to side to the sound of the drums once I hear this.
3:47 love that transition! it feels like its crawling inside of me
what a lame argument :P
