Propagandhi - Gamble Lyrics
Your hips are swaying, and your eyes are saying
That you need two gamblers for this game you're playing
And I might want you, yeah, but I don't need you
And you won't sleep in my bed, anymore
It seemed like a dead end even when I was seven
'Cuz God was dead then, yeah he's never been back again
And I don't think about, anymore
It's a gamble, and your fingers burn
From the last time that you flew and bled
And the shadows that you walk around
Will still be there when the sun goes down
Venus Flytrap, twenty years now
The chance is just as fat as a union bureaucrat
That the life you wanna live ain't the one you're looking at
There's more risk in a brain-cell
When you can't find the pit boss, anywhere

perfection
when one of your favourite bands covers one of your favourite songs
To bad theyre metal now :(
This is wrong, btw. Nobody from Dead Kennedys had anything to do with Green Jello
Who? What? Propagandhi? Metal? No, they are the best punk band around.
Huh? They are 10 times better.
John Sharkey Wtf are you talking about? Green Jello is not related to DK in any way.
I love these guys, all their stuff is awesome,I know this ones a cover, but it has always been one of my faves, take a few and listen, youll be glad you did
this is the dance track....
nice econochrist stickers. fuck i wish i still had that lp.
The bass line yes, but I'm referring to his backup vocals and obvious impact on overall style. No offense, I just wish Propagandhi's sound hadn't changed so much because they were one off my favorite bands.
This is with John actually.
This was *way* better with John K. Samson. Sorry.
great post I'm huge prop fan and haven't herd this full cdep yet I'm gonna have to Dload it from G-7. Failed Stated out now amazing record they go on a North America + USA tour starting in Sept till Nov. so check out the Assault there coming to a failed states near you
I don't know these guys from a hole int the ground....but I give major thumbs up to anyone who gets it. long live LOTL.
This sounds nothing like Chris?
I love this AND the original by The Lowest of The Low
@FreedumbFighter28 Yes, I'm Chris. haha
hahaha i love the end's homage to early Metallica at 3:34
'It seemed like a dead end even when I was seven
To sing for this country with my hands up to heaven
'cause God was dead then, yeah he’s never been back again.'
loveit. even more than that fuckin' dirty ass ending!
skatopolis thanks bud. that was hard to understand.
yup, that's a splendid quartet of lines. and lmao, i'm not sure i ever listened to the whole ending until now... but i always listened until the obvious best part, which is where the 'a public dis-service' bass riff makes a surprise appearance
This is a really good cover. Studio quality is top notch
i can remember me running every day to the record store to listen to this amazing cover song knowing it from their tour but didn´t want to buy the whole "quantity" record for just one song that time(i already had the other stuff on it).Very beautiful song and version, thanx!
oh shit, i hadn't even noticed quantity had a live version of this, and with some different lyrics too - awesome!
I'll just point out that the bass and drums were recorded in 1996, while the guitar and vocals were recorded by Chris in 2009 :D And thanks for posting, hope you bought it online.
i'd also point out that they took some liberties with the chorus chord progression and backing vocal melodies :P as well as dropping the awesome dual solo bit and some other cool riffs from the original...:( ya just gotta love both, though; this is a great interpretation
