Procol Harum - Luskus Delph Lyrics

Tulips lips oh luskus delph
Your baking breath breeds body 'x'
With silken measures try to gauge
The inside sweetness of your cave.
Peach preserve your simmering jewel
Hid away like orphans' gruel
Help me find the widow's crack
Make me stick like ceiling wax
Almond eyed my turkish pearl
Burn me up sweet oyster girl
Shove me in your steaming vat
Make me split like chicken fat

Procol Harum Luskus Delph Comments

It took me a while (being a kid) to figure out what this song was about. lol Not being gay, however, I find the lyrics quite disgusting. Are there any songs written that extol the virtues of a penis, I wonder? lol Maybe I should write one.

    ohh Beatiful Rock 70s !

  3. massimo marchesin

  4. Randy Acuna

These guys have so many great albums, I believed I had at least 6 or 7 7 of them, Gary's voice with the keyboards , raw guitar sounds, great drumming, a music style all their own. Classic rock!

  5. Chérif Aidara

Been listening to this masterpiece 3 consecutive times....just discovered 10 minutes ago

  6. Michael Vaidic

    like...fine Corinthian Leather....

  7. Dave Gold

A beautiful song with very crude lyrics about getting pussy.

  8. Karl Fisher

Without Robin Trower, this band quickly fell into oblivion. Exotic birds and Fruit? What a pile of nothing!

    Timothy Reiley

    Bullpoopy

    TheEternalNow

    your idiocy is beyond belief

    James Hitt

What a pile of bull crap. With Gary's incredible songwriting, it would take a lot more than losing Robin Trower to make that big a difference in the band. No offense intended to Mr Trower.

  9. Antonio Melillo

    excellent

Best song about pussy EVER (sorry ladies: everything else sounded lame. I love them : )))). Keith Reid was a genius.

  21. Kepler

The beuty is only on the surface. This special admosphere, psycadelich, deadly and resighned. Sure it never ended.

  22. james alden

Well...it never ends, but how so fortunate in this case. Few, so few....bands can accomplish what Procol Harum has done, and here, years later.....the melodies and lyrics are even more poignant now. Thank you, like always....for posting...

  23. Glenlo

Delightful lyrics teetering on the brink of vaginolotary.

  24. chatham43

@jmzfactor ...just downloaded the live version...agree that the live version is even better......

  25. hocuspocusfocusable

@bbw1000 Reid was to Brooker what Hunter was to Garcia or Taupin to John, oh hell Lennon to McCartney (& vice-versa in their case)...the essence fo the mystery is in the collaboration.
(Regardless of what anatomical reference is made here, it's a beautiful tune.)

  26. jmzfactor

I love this melody so much..sounds simple but I know better. The Salvo remastered PH discs are well worth the money..fantastic sound. The version of Luskus Delph on the Live with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra is even better than this original imho.

the drums are crazy good. you dont hear that drumstyle everyday.

  31. Robertson Tait

Such a delicate yet complex melody, and the drumming is outstanding (B.J. Wilson, a most underrated genius). Nice touch on the piano and superb vocals by Mr. Brooker, and truly original lyrics. Thank you so much for posting this hidden jem!
