It was recorded in 1991, meant for the Love Symbol album, but yes, at one point after adding Clare Fischer’s orchestral arrangement, it was included as the final track on Emancipation before being taken off.

The song's original title was going to be "(Excuse Me, But Is This Really)Goodbye" until it was shortened to just "Goodbye".
