It's almost impossible to stick to one album as a favourite Prince album, but for the songwriting alone I think maybe this is the best. Although I know I'll change my dirty mind next week.

From my favorite album! I loved it, and still do! Prince was taking chances then and it paid off! I love it because he was so damn nasty and I found it kinda tittillating, sort of speak. Good album, still the same. Peace.

this song brings tears to my eyes, I was a 17 year old blown away by this mysterious artist, now knowing he has passed away and that I will never again hear him live, Prince's early stuff was legend to me. NOTHING since has ever come close to just knocking me on my ass. every time I hear this song I'm instantly transported back to high school sophomore year and life is innocent for 3 minutes. God I miss Prince , he will never know how happy he made me during the early 1980s

Yes the early stuff is my favorite as well, some later stuff but that lineup not to sound racist but the all black front line, funky as hell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I remember when a local TV station used the opening hook to promote the movie of the day.

He opened the shows of the "Dirty Mind" tour with this song, proving what a KILLER jam this song was live. But after that tour was over, it was never played live again.

What a shame.

Any reason why? Prince's playing on this is phenomenal so in the groove! Don't think his bands could play it this so funky! And his vocals are just the best! The gospel scream 3/4 the way through is genius

Prince was The type of musician that once he played a song so long live it was time to move on and go to the next phase of music he doesn't like to be stuck on something to long it's like he just changed his play list

But to never play again? Strange! It’s what I like to think as Princes first super bad track!!! Just amazing

@Nicholas Gargano Look up the 2016 memorial show that The Revolution (Including Dez and Andre) did at Fifth Avenue, they included "Do it all night" and the crowd went ape when Doctor and Lisa started playing that intro.
