Priests - Nothing Feels Natural Lyrics
Perhaps I will change into something
Swing wildly the other way
If I go without for days will I finally hallucinate a real thing
No it's not for anyone and I can't wait until it's done and
Come on, please
Work for something
If I walk a hundred days does it mean
I get to say you can't talk to me
That way, that way, that way
That way, that way, that way
That way, that way, that way
No it's not for anyone and I can't wait until it's done and
No it's not for anyone and I can't wait until it's done and
No it's not for anyone and I can't wait until it's done
This is when I'd give a god a name
But to people in sanctuaries all I can say is
You will not, you will not be saved
No it's not for anyone and I can't wait until it's done and
No it's not for anyone and I can't wait until it's done and
No it's not for anyone and
I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait
I can't wait
I can't wait
I can't wait
I can't wait
I can't wait

Priests Nothing Feels Natural Comments
Joy Divison - Transmission? Definitely going for an 80's jangly/echoey vibe.
seems to have presaged all of the anger, weariness, impatience, and defiance of the trump era.
Walk the Moon but a female vocalist. I can dig it.
I wonder if they like Downy Mildew - Mincing Steps. Someone bring them that album. I bet they go, "oh, yeah, we love that."
If only all of there songs had this feel
Sounds like 80's Sonic Youth. Good stuff.
fav priests song for sure
Stereogum calls this 'punk' and the 6th best album of the year so far. It is neither.
It sort of sounds like all that bad shoegaze that started coming out in the late 80s and early 90s, inspired by the 4AD label.
Yuck.
Calm down. There is no rigid test, nor is it based in any purely aesthetic notions of a type of sound.
This is solely about energy and soul. And I was born in '62, so I was there for the real thing as it was happening.
This music has none. It's incredibly boring and the production values are superficial. It falls into the same category for me as Savages and White Lung, bands that seemed at first to have the spirit and integrity of authentic punk, and later proving to be posers. It seems like they just want to 'make it' as a band to me.
A big part of punk, for me, is anti-establishment. I don't care much for most early punk--the Pistols were a horrible band, and few songs outside of EMI were all that anti-establishment, and all of them were just boring rockabilly sped up and with more distortion--and favor the post punk movement because it was far more musically interesting (Wire, Gang of Four, Mission of Burma, Sonic Youth).
Naval gazers are the worst. Feckless whiners who don't bother to live life.
Guitar isn't my thing. Critique is. I've written several novels and I've also played a few sports on a professional caliber level (as well as being the best massage therapist of my generation in my fairly large city).
Yes, the Millenial Generation, as a whole, are a bunch of feckless whiners who have little or no skill and a vast well of entitlement.
While I do still listen to CURRENT Wire and Mission of Burma albums and love them both more than ever, I would never listen to anything as lame as the DKs (lack of production values does not make you cool, nor does such sketchy and rudimentary skills; see, for example, Guided By Voices, who are just as punk as anyone and elevate lo-fi and modest skill into genius works of art and literature).
Few were lucky. Most got fucking jobbed.
"And I was born in '62, so I was there for the real thing as it was happening." yeah, punk is definitely about old guys complaining about new music xD
I don't know if this is punk or not but I've heard this 100 times before, so yes I feel you. They were a copy of Joy Division then and there's nothing worst than a copy of a rehashed copy. But I guess for someone who never heard Joy Division or even the Mary Chain this sounds ok. I like kids music just not this shite.
God, you sound boring
2017 seems to be a new renaissance for underground music. https://www.mixcloud.com/scarsbruises/always-poor-never-bored/
It sounds a little bit The Cure, it is possible?
try listening to eagulls-velvet
thanks npr
I cannot stop listening to this!!!
I was happy to see them in Oakland at Starline Ballroom 2/19. They are amazing live. Please support them

"Doing" Joy Division.
interpol
they sound nothing like joy div gtfoh 😂
Powell Pressburger They don't sound like Joy Division. Sure, it's got some 80's post-punk influences, but that's it. Otherwise, this sounds very modern.
The definition of jaded hipsterite eternal rejector mentality:
Likely does not make music himself/herself and secretly hates (envies?) people who dare to; assesses all music through the fractured lens of a forever-culture-collector/hoarder/fetishist/taste-evolver/spectator, not a doer/maker/creator/experimentor.

Herbert King Umm....Boston?
I loved the last album more than life itself. And this makes is just as good.
I don't think I can handle the next two days until the album is out and in my hands.

I have a new favorite band...listened to this on soundcloud on repeat all afternoon after hearing it on our local station. Rock on!
