Powderfinger - Tail Lyrics

I'll take the lead you follow me
Come and relieve the friends that I keep
They're sick of me
Small minded creed blisters and weeps
Swallow the shit that jealousy feeds
And choke on it

And I may have a point to prove
I might just have a few enemies that I might just like to lose

I'll take the lead you follow me
Come and relieve the friends that I keep
They're sick of me
Come and relieve the friends that I keep
They're sick of me

And I may have a point to prove
I may just have a few memories that I might just like to lose

Here I stand with my tail between my legs
And I'm set to confess to these sins I didn't commit

Small minded creed blisters and weeps
Swallow the shit that jealousy feeds
And choke on it

And I may have a point to prove
And I might just have a few enemies that I might just like to lose

Here I stand with my tail between my legs
And I'm set to confess to these sins I didn't commit
No

It's all I have to say

Here I stand with my tail between my legs
And I'm set to confess to these sins I didn't commit

saw them in ‘94 supporting the Badloves! nobody paid any attention to them.... picked up the Transfusion EP for about $12.

    C.... ....

Nobody paid any attention to them? They overtook Nirvana on the charts with the Transfusion EP

    C.... ....

Ulysses Im talking about the gig that I was at. nobody paid attention to them. as for Transfusion... there were only 2000 copies printed in the original run. if they overtook anyone on the charts for one week, they sank like a stone the next

  7. C.... ....

Lmao you go out of your way to write a comment that basically tells people to have open minds and stop being so one dimensional ( which is great) but then you write off an entire genre in the next sentence. A little ironic.
Yes, I know its an old comment, dont much care.

  11. B.... ....

Silverchair,Powderfinger and You Am I=Australia's equivalent of Nirvana,Pearl Jam and Soundgarden in the 90's

All of you should really make the effort to understand the "real" powderfinger. Yes, this was their "rock" era, and they thoroughly enjoyed playing metal, however, they grew to hate it. And, how @Spindaz said that they turned into "pop rock"!? Do you understand what that genre is? They were an alternative band, and most popular for that. Just because they played it simple and actually created music with real emotion, doesn't mean that everything after Parables is "not real music. fuck metal.

    L.... ....

    👏👏yeah.

    L.... ....

    fuck you

Loved this hole album, back in high school days, been hooked since...I like em better too - more grungy :)

  17. S.... ....

Yeah, this is Powderfinger when they were a real rock band, before they turned all pop rock. Witnessed many small Adelaide powderfinger moshpits back in the day. Crammed into the Tivoli Hotel or the Synagogue. They rocked hard back then. Double allergic was the beginning of the end. I noticed how the crowd changed from the real rock fans to the top40 people within the space of an album. Oh well, at least we can still listen to Reap What you Sow and Parables and reminisce. Im old haha.

    S.... ....

SpineDaz yeah remember the synagogue show
    It was empty
12 months later the sellout was in and all the stonewash jeans brigade was all over them

@cyprokka Although I too am a fan of Silverchair's earlier stuff as opposed to what they're doing now, i think it's only fair to say that both bands just developed into different genres of music in their later years.. Powderfinger's more recent stuff is a more aussie pub rock which suits them, they were pretty quick to get out of the grunge mould

  19. M.... ....

cant believe they hav changed so much. their music used to be good compared to their late stuff. just like silverchair they lost their real feeling for music.

  20. S.... C....

This is by far their greatest song!!!! In my opinion>>>> I personally carn't listen to their music beyond this album, but this song gave me goose bumps when i was 14 and still does 16 years later.... Absolutely brilliant track!!!!! Thanks guy's
