Reminds me of a DMT experience

I'll never forget the feeling I had when this album first released, I was 15, a Sophomore in High School. I had been hyped for this album for MONTHS. I was severely depressed and I just wanted to have SOMETHING to fill the numbness I felt. Nothing made me happy anymore. This album was exciting just because I liked Porter and fell in love with him from Language. I expected a pretty, yet dancey, electro house album.

What I got instead, was an album that changed my life and showed me what it meant to be alive and see the beauty in the world. Thank you, Porter. Your music saved me. This album means more to me than I can ever express properly.

Omg I think I just found something insane but I could be incorrect but I think Shelters vocal chops came from these vocals, I can hear the vowels and tonality, maybe in shelter the formant was altered and of coarse pitch but I think it sounds very similar. I just need to find the acapella from this song to experiment and see if my theory is true. The first word she says is the first vocal chop in Shelter you just have to imagine it being pitched down

Porter himself said they were chops of Amy Milan's vocals from another project I think. He talked about it in Livestream you can probably find clips on YouTube

So we had a family vacation in Japan and I documented the whole thing on video and this song just perfectly matched the experience itself. It's exhilirating and it conveys the emotions I felt during the trip so well. This is the best song to play blasting into your earbuds, hands down.
I'm typically listening to this song while mowing the lawn in the summer, with earbuds blasting to drown out the roaring of the riding mower. Usually the scenery (living in the country and having the most amazing viewnof the sky and sunsets in my backyard) mixed with the song makes me feel so emotional, powerful, and humbled at the same time.
