Poison The Well - Parks And What You Meant To Me Lyrics

Wrap around
the white pavement feels so inviting
so lie back and gain bruises with me
it's been a long time since I've seen you from above
You’re still beautiful
leave here we'll start something new in our embrace
with that crash your parts into mine
Intoxicate me with your many voices
And I'll never leave you and I'll never leave here

I’ll never leave you

Intoxicate me with all your voices
And crash your parts into mine
So lost inside of you ‘til now I think we waited too long

So lost inside of you ‘til now I think we waited too long
lock your doors and close your shades
I'll never find

Leave here we'll start something new in our embrace

2019, still think this is one of the best PTW songs, encompasses their many styles yet takes it to a whole new level <3

I got into PTW back in 2002 around the time when there was this guitar magazine article on emo/hardcore bands. PTW, Thursday, Thrice, The Used, and Glassjaw were all mentioned among others. PTW outdid themselves on their third and what I consider best album, You Come Before You. Tear From the Red and The Opposite of December were fantastic albums as well. Three perfect albums in a row I'd say.

    c.... ....

creekandseminole I remember that issue haha. I was like people are finally catching on... Sweet. But they called it screamo haha

    c.... ....

Tear from the Red was their 3rd album.

  10. G.... M....

    IMO the best ptw song

  11. B.... ....

The album begins and ends with the same note. Fucking beautiful.

    B.... ....

Boxcar8008 not many people know that or catch that touche 👍

    B.... ....

my mind was blown as a 16 year old and noticing that when me and a friend listened to this in it's entirety the day it came out.

  12. J.... F....

    come back to us, PTW!

  13. M.... ....

What genre is this considered? whatever it is, its amazing.

    M.... ....

I'd say post-hardcore, but I think Poison the Well is considered a metalcore band.

    M.... ....

i know this is old but check out Hum

  14. D.... ....

man this was one of my all time favorite PTW songs. this band used to mean so much to me when I was a teenager. now im fuckin 30...

    D.... ....

...and now im 32. been 2 years since i gave this another listen. :)

    D.... ....

    D.... ....

    D.... ....

@cohbabe I'm 34 and this is still my favorite band. Well then and deftones. But after all these years I still listen to them and I can't wait to see them in a couple weeks 😊

    D.... ....

@Eli Brian Ramos no shit they opened up for kitty?? I bet that show was nuts

  15. j.... ....

    Favorite

  16. m.... ....

I just wish they would play a show with nothing but the first two records . Had the privilege to see them once and as amazing as it was they played nothing from December or tear .

  17. o.... ....

youre an idiot, not all music is going to sound lika nasa autotuned radio music. you can leave now.

  18. L.... K....

im gonna miss these guys. this song/album rocks so hard

  19. B.... H....

This song changed my life. For the good.

  20. W.... ....

    HMM! Possibly. :D

  21. J.... C....

"So lost inside of you till now I think we waited too long"

    PLAN B.

  22. T.... F....

I like how it sounds rather raw and rustic. I just love this album, I can not explain.

  23. W.... ....

"With that crash your parts in to mine". heheehehe.

    SEX.

  24. g.... ....

Havent herd these guya in years

  25. S.... ....

Makes me sad I lost my Tear from the red shirt

  26. J.... ....

    You're*

  27. S.... A....

    great song.

  28. H.... J....

Ah. So other people's opinions are spam because they conflict with your own. That's... mature. I didn't even diss the band dude.

  29. k.... a....

you're clueless. this is their fucking sound. smh *flags and reports as spam*

  30. G.... R....

yeah it seems they lack material alot of the time and just re-upload old bands or songs they have the rights to..but in the same sense you are right with all the production technology you can clean alot up and just smooth it out

  31. H.... J....

And I do agree that this song is quite good. I just dont think its produced well, even for the 90's. plenty of bands sounded good in the 90s

  32. H.... J....

Yeah I realize I made a mistake in not researching the band before commenting. Because it was on Rise records list of newly added videos i just assumed that it was a new song.

  33. C.... ....

1st of all, this is a reissue of albums from the late 90's. 2nd of all, production doesn't mean shit. In this day and age, extremely "good" production makes bands sound better than they actually are. Poison The Well don't need to be over-produced to sound better than all the other metalcore shit that comes out today

  34. M.... ....

    It's okay...

  35. B.... ....

This is back when hardcore music was good.

  36. T.... F....

I cant explain how about i feel when i heard poison the well... its unique... its about hate and love in the same time... so original and unique. I just love all this songs <3

  37. G.... R....

You do realize this is just a reissue of their first two albums..The Opposite of December... A Season of Separation was in 1999 and Tear from the Red with was in 2002...why try to take the rawness and edge away from it when thats exactly how they pioneered their sound

  38. H.... J....

The song itself is good but ... The production quality is awful and amateurish, there's no excuse for that in this day and age. Good music deserves stellar production and mixing

    H.... J....

a little thing exists called money or lack of

  39. m.... ....

In ends just like botchala starts

  40. m.... ....

This record changed my life and this might just be my favorite song .

  41. a.... g....

8th! perfection! this song meant to me. nice!

  42. T.... ....

7th... even if that isn't significant.

  43. S.... ....

One of my favorite songs on one of my favorite albums of all time.

  44. S.... ....

    So fucking good.

  45. A.... G....

    HoHoHo :B
