Poco - Like Honey Lyrics

Like honey, you're sweeter
Like fine silk, you're pleasure
When night falls on rare wine
Like honey, you're sweeter.

Like fire, you're burning
Like white fury burning
When night falls on stone rooms
Like fire, you're burning.

I'll love you forever
Till seas lose their freedom
And night falls no longer
I'll love you forever.

(So rise)
So rise and learn to fly
Help the lonely hour of the night pass by
(So rise)
So rise and spread your wings
Help the lonely hour of the night begin
So fly
So fly.

Like honey, you're sweeter
Like fine silk, you're pleasure
When night falls on rare wine
Like honey, you're sweeter.

I'll love you forever
Till seas lose their freedom
And night falls no longer
I'll love you forever.

Is this so. G about Edie Sedgwick

  9. L.... W....

I've loved this album since it first came out. Amazing. Atmospheric. Pure cotton-candy white-nose. You think it's just a great love song at first... and it is. Until you realize it's about eating your girl's "honey-dripping beehive." And then you smile because that makes it even greater.

  10. K.... W....

One more proof you can write a superhit after 3 months of guitar playing only.
    Such a great song !

Years ago, a girl I was dating was killed in a car accident. One night soon there after, I was listening to the local alternative radio station. I thought it fitting to call and request a song for her. I got through, but the DJ didn't have the song I wanted. However, he said he had a good song in mind. He played this song.

  14. d.... ....

Spotify still has the best Mary chain cover album. Think the guys name is greenbaum or summik it's fantastic

  36. M.... A....

These comments are hilarious. You just got into this "American grunge band" even though you grew up in the 90's? First, they're fucking Scottish last I checked. Second, how the hell could you not have heard of them? They were on TV every five minutes when Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star dated one of the brothers in the band. Pearl Jam wore nothing but Mother Love Bone and Jesus and Mary Chain shirts. We get it, you fucking found out about it from a TV show.

  37. T.... A....

Hey Jesus and Marry Chain, I like The Cure too.. - we should hang out!

  38. H.... W....

  48. E.... H....

Oh I wish I could forget my "treestump" hairdo

  49. D.... W....

Seeing Lost in Translation back in 2003 was one of the influencers of my decision to go to China in 2006. I ended up having a great 10 years there. Hearing these songs now brings me a sad, lost melancholy. Like I so miss my youth and innocence before going away to Asia for so many years.

  50. T.... ....

Fuckin boss! 942 thumbs down wankers aint got a clue & need schooling! Or a slap! ;)

  55. z.... ....

Lost in translation takes me here. Great Song!

  56. R.... P....

Psychocandy still stands as one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion and one of my personal favorites. The wall of noise melded with the melodic feel of a 60's R&B girl band forms a concoction that stands singularly in my mind.

  57. B.... B....

Taking me back to 1985 when I was 19 thank you💜💜💜💜

  67. D.... H....

  68. C.... D....

wish i had a plastic toy

  69. g.... ....

Listening to this type of stuff directly
From my childhood makes me nauseous sometimes. It feels so good but so completely untouchable. We are in two different worlds

  70. B.... ....

Sofia Coppola has such brilliant taste in the music she uses in her films.

Christ that guitar sounds shit. I love it.

    b.... ....

You've never heard a single shoegaze song in your life right?

  80. s.... l....

Have you ever noticed that theres always some knobhead whistling/singing some old pop song badly , but they NEVER do the Mary Chain . Maybe we should change that ourselves.Hum this back at them ,it'll drive them mad wondering what it is . haa haa

    s.... l....

No need to sound so condescending...

    L.... D....

bc you feel insecure as a noob

  84. R.... M....

My brother took a trip to Australia
And he got lost in tourist group so he was missing for nine days...
And then they realized that he was missing because they were counting the canteens
But he said that he started eating insects...
I mean that he was refusing to do that, for the entire time that he was lost...

But he was looking for civilization
And he said that people can get lost if they are looking for civilization sometimes...

    But his name is Randolph

  85. S.... ....

Who is here because of Vernon Subutex ?

  86. R.... J....

    Herrwon

  87. R.... G....

  89. T.... ....

that saturation is like a pillow on my ears

  90. j.... b....

Whos here's cus lei a's video save the bees?

  91. E.... P....

Sounds like if Big Black and The Cure had an awesome baby lmao

  92. S.... M....

The Cure are either tremendously melodic and dynamic or just annoying - but always intense. This kind of stuff, whether you like it or not, just drags, and that's the intention. You can say well I like that mildly dragging element in and that's why I prefer it. That's fine. The Cure just goes into overdrive, whatever they do. They are either flying up there in some kind of weird uplifting originality or dragging you through the dirt in some kind of tedious dark dross. Other bands go for a slow kind of Lou Reed semi-dark, semi-pop effect, which is just fine. But don't mix any of this up with The Cure.

    S.... M....

any reason you are rambling on about Cure in this video?

    S.... M....

@rezargamer Good question. Out of context it does read a bit weird and off-topic. But back there in the comments, someone said this is a Cure rip-off and others laid in with this is a million miles better than anything The Cure ever produced, and that just got my blood up. I suppose I meant to convey that I find this wishy-washy (not bad) compared to the light and dark well-defined extremes of The Cure. Which, as you imply, is really neither here nor there. It's just a reaction to previous comments.

    S.... M....

Ok, that makes sense - remember to reply to the actual comment another time ;)

    S.... M....

@rezargamer Will do or at least try to do. Cheers!

  93. S.... W....

I absolutely fucking love J n M chain, and this tune is one of my top 10 defo.

  94. d.... ....

If anyone wants to know what snare drum that is Bobby is playing and featured on the cover it’s an 80’s Pearl 14”x10” deep chrome wrapped shell. Not a marching snare like you may think based on the depth, but a catalog model. Peter Kris played the same model in Kiss

  95. D.... H....

    Bliss...💕

  96. a.... c....

this beast of this band should be forbidden to play here in Brazil a bunch of idiots
