This is great classic 70s rock

I know that The Dude hates "the f**king Eagles" but I'll bet he loves Poco!!

First heard Poco in 1969 and was hooked.. Many say they are underrated but I say they were special in the fact that us Poco fans were the ones who got it.. They are the best band to have a diehard cult following . We were the luckiest to have em as our own... Gram Parsons was of the same ilk although Poco was better in my opinion.. Loved them then and 50 years later they are still my favorite band.. Anyway Bye-Bye !!

Poco is great!!! So many great line ups also, most every single album is excellent.

POCO definitely deserves more critical acclaim.  Now this will date me but I saw Timothy B. Schmidt play for the first time with the band at The Golden Bear in Huntington Beach.  This must have been in 1967 or so. He was just a kid,, probably 18 or so.  Musically and vocally POCO was and still is impactful.Thanks for all the music and blessings to each/all of you...Ed<><

Great Album,Great Song. Rusty got inspired to write this song after visiting some true Ghost Towns in New Mexico. Great song writers,great singers,great musicians and #1 Country Rock Band of all time

I love this album, actually had the cassette, and I listened to it on my drive to the Army Post, I was stationed at ,many years ago.

If you include Furay's Buffalo Springfield songs, "Kind Woman" comes to mind, plus his Souther Hillman Furay Band songs, and his 4 or 5 solo records, plus Jim Messina's songs with or without Loggins, Meisner had 2 very good solo records after leaving the Eagles, the many Poco members may have been more prolific, and for a longer period of time, than the Eagles original group plus Tim Schmidt.

Probably listened to this entire album 100,000 times. Such awesome music.

Poco are great/ Eagles are great. I have all their albums and play Poco more that the Eagles but they were undeniable in paying more attention and craftsmanship in song writing and recording. There were simply more hits songs that people loved worldwide. Well now I am going to listen to Bad Weather from Live 1976. I think their best performance ever.

You've misread my entry. I say Eagles had the better songwriters or at least they took more time in perfecting their songs.

Poco...this is one great band. I got this CD today!! great song, I've known it since it came out, always love it and shoot for the moon..I listen to Poco songs every day.

Eagles were not the super band it was poco by far look at the talet that came of the band tim randy jimmy rusty richard paul so many amazing I wish jimmy messina wuold have never have left

Great vocals and harmony.....I could never understand why they never got the credit for being a great band......how can you beat there vocals.

Poco was very underrated and NEVER received the credit they deserved for their influence on Country Rock. The fact that Randy Meisner and Timothy B Schmidt went over to the EAGLES and had great careers with that band is also overlooked that they came from POCO first!  This group had TOO MANY songs that were exceptional to not have received more fame.

I was brought up up on these guys and can't even begin to explain the love I have for them, how they influenced the scene at that time and my love for music now and forever xx

There was a single edit version for radio play that cut like 2 minutes off this version you hear here. That must have shot it out of the water. This song at full length is an absolute masterpiece.

Saw this performed live at the Sweetwater in Redondo Beach in November of 1982.

I cut teeth on these guys, I think my favorites are "Crazy Eyes", "Angel", or "Driving Wheel"

Only just bought this album...better late than never i guess.........playin it now for the first time....sounds ok so far.......on side 2 now...whoever previously owned it never played it at all....not a mark on the vinyl or the spindle hole

Poco is my all-time favorite band! For me, Ghost Town is one of their best tunes from the 80's. As usual, it's the combination of many talents that make this song great. Some standout performances, though, are Paul Cotton's awesome lead guitar, Stephen Chapman's drums, the string section's flourishes, and Rusty Young's melody and lyrics!!!

I love this entire album, great music,lyrics and vocals. Poco are an awesome band. Some great musicians are and have been a part of Poco. Rusty has always been #1 for me. Shoot For The Moon was our wedding song. Never seen them live but they are on my bucket list for sure.

A great track from a band more people should know about. This actually got some radio play when it first came out. See this group live if you ever have the chance.

The long version of this should be as big a classic as The Outlaws' Ghost Riders, or Charlie Daniels' Legend Of Wooley Swamp. Harmony, great solos and a haunting, driving melody. Love the whole album.
