I noticed the RIP comment of lovejoecartwright about P.J. Proby. Just to set the record straight, P.J. Proby is still alive and well and performing. He resides in the UK and recently celebrated his 72nd Birthday on November 6th 2010.
Proby's version of this is not bad, but not as good as this.

Do you reckon an 50's and 60's outfit such as Bear Family records may one day restore his incredible legacy and release everything he ever recorded. Hey Bear Family did 3 extensive boxed sets on the Everly Brothers and at least one on Roy Orbison (1955-1965) surely they could do the same for Gene's music.
