This album art was particularly sharp, I always thought.

The keyboard work on this song is incredible.

Grew up on this. In a band today because of this generation. Petra, stryper and audio adrenaline etc. These guys kind of remind me of foreigner.

Agreed! I always felt that this album, with "Second Wind" in particular, was some of Petra's most solid "Rock" recordings. Pun intended..lol.

My childhood was rough...my mom acted out being religious and burned all the secular music in our household( she listened to too much Bob Larson) Thank God I had Petra, Rez Band and Daniel Band!!!! And later Barnabus, Stryper, Bloodgood and Barren Cross!!!! They all have the word of God in their music...I got fed through music.

Sorry, that is spelled PETRA.

They r too busy playing watered down Christian pop/ worship music to be more ( relevant) . They seem to not think that scripture based Christian rock is relevant anymore.

They swiched to A worship format no Rock

When this kind of music was popular, I was under a church pastor who adamantly told us that "Some Christian music isn't really Christian."
But the truth is, while the music moves you, it's the lyrics that move you even more. The lyrics are definitely Spirit inspired and they definitely inspire your spirit.

I think of it like this: when music moves you in the holy spirit, it doesn't matter what kind of music it is. It can't be from Satan. His motive is to weaken followers of God, but good Christian rock strengthens people's spirits. Satan can't be behind music that glorifies God; it goes against him.

But I still agree with that pastor, just cause I feel like a lot of 'Christian' bands might be mediocre and are more for the attention rather than to spread the love of God. But that's just how I think.

Someone needs to tell that Pastor that this is Christian music.I believe these lyrics are Spirit-lead and to speak against this is wrong.Just because someone does not like the music part does not mean it isn't Christian.These brothers are very talented and Spirit-lead,Be careful what you are critical of,these people are music Minister's.
