Periphery - Mk Ultra Lyrics

Innocent babe, shall we corrupt at such a young age
Conjure a laugh, conjure the tears amongst love
Glass brain, it will project all of the spectrum
Heart still, but his infant hands are shaking now

Start leaking all the thoughts on your mind
What's yours, is ours for the taking
Take this bruise as a sign that we own you now and forevermore

Spiral down
Disconnecting sight from sound
Control one

Innocent babe, shall we corrupt at such a young age
Conjure a laugh, conjure the tears amongst love
Take this bruise as a sign that we own you now and forevermore

The poison now is your responsibility
You can finger-paint with blood on your hands
Take this bruise as a sign that we own you now and forevermore
That we own you now and forevermore
That we own you now and forevermore

What if Periphery was saying the truth about the CIA's MK Ultra project but the goverment cut the transmission putting "elevator music" at the minute 2:00?

    J.... I....

hahahahaha sick theory...and periphery was like "k lets roll with it"

  4. M.... O....

Spencer in this song sounds like Jens kindman

  5. a.... n....

I wish this group was more like this song.

  7. A.... G....

My fav part 2:00. Reminds me of btbam - laser speed. Also contain traces of periphery - omega.

  8. g.... g....

  9. g.... g....

    FUCK YOU MK-ULTRA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. P.... c....

    MR PERSON!

  11. M.... S....

i like the jazz chords at the end <3

  12. C.... O....

Vocals sound like Lamb Of God. Periphery is so sick!

  13. J.... S....

That The Sims-esque ending though xD

  14. M.... H....

The elevator music has a lot of Plini accents to it imo, who else gets that vibe?

    M.... H....

Mach Heydt Yeah like a combination of Sweet Nothings and Selenium Forest

  15. U.... F....

Interesting title. Originally MK Ultra (Project MK Ultra) was the name of a top secret set of experiments at the height of the cold war that tied into Operation Paperclip (The procurement of Nazi scientists by the CIA) where they tried to develop a mind control serum. What they came up with was Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). They ran their busta-ass tests on the American populace and some of the Canadian populace. (The shit you learn from weird people in a comments section of Youtube)

The title MK Ultra was also used by Muse on their album The Resistance with lyrics discussing the same thing.

    A.... C....

Lol, I thought the same +Fadelical

    A.... C....

They orginally wanted to turn the heads of captured soviet agents with this programm and make them double agents to sent them back to gather information.

  17. M.... ....

    Love the riffs, so djenty

    M.... ....

I was thinking they sound a bit meshuggah-y. Fuck djent!

  18. K.... ....

my favourite part is, if you listen carefully, you can hear the Omega's guitar interlude at the elevator music part (2:25)

  19. T.... ....

This song should've some Kazoo in the background.
    just sayin'...

    T.... ....

    ohh I know what you're talking about. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  20. L.... V....

reminds me so much of "Between the Buried and Me"

    L.... V....

nah, btbam is at another level. their songs are so much more complex.

    L.... V....

Lucas Vogel Nah man reminds me allot of Rings Of Saturn

    L.... V....

Lutulmax20 it's all relative rlly imo. btbams complexity lies in crazy fast sweeps, key/tempo shifts and dense song structures but they lack polyrhythmic/polytonal content. while meshuggah periphery and the likes are a lot more rhythmically complex with heavy emphasis on groove, jarring hemiola-tinged syncopation and subtleties like ghost noting etc.

  21. A.... H....

This song is so fucking good. wtf

  22. C.... S....

This is progressive bossa nova :o

This was the point I decided it's a pretty good song.

  25. J.... G....

    2:00 elevator music lol

    J.... G....

+Jonathan Galdino sounds like plini too

    J.... G....

+Jonathan Galdino excaty what I was thinking
