We had an uncle Speed in our family's earlier days, as well. Well loved and respected... ! I think of him and my grandmother, and the bond I could see between them, as siblings, when I hear this tune.

At first I was wondering what all the Maggie Roche posts were about. Then I looked at the song credits in this post. I had no idea she and Terre sang on this! (Guess Suzzy couldn't make it.) :-)

RIP Maggie!

R.I.P  Maggie Roche, who died on January 21, 2017.

Every time I see Maggie's name I feel this deep loss and my eyes well up. It's difficult to hope and I see now how much hope the Roches brought to me.

Always liked this song because it mentions my hometown of Newport News.

i am from western canada, specifically the rockies, and i love this song because it is the only time i participated in stealing a fancy car...and my name is laura lei!!!!!!so you can see how i thought, at 14 this song was all about ME. And now when I hear this I will think of my friend roy in Newport xoxo
