This is way too fast. But I do like the mono.
One of their BEST!! The speed is WAY too fast on this and one of your photos at .20 was of the "new" raiders, most of whom had nothing to do with this song.

the speed is correct its a single and not an album cut
As someone else noted, this is playing a bit faster than the original record did, like at 48 RPM or so. And by the way, it's from 1968 (May-June, to be exact), not 1969. Great, great, great record, though.

great song, the raiders did replace several members through the latter part of the 60's. drake was my favorite guitarist of the bunch, but harpo and especially freddy weller were super talented. freddy was a studio guitarist and belonged to billy joe royals band for a while. he knew his way around the fretboard..keith allison who took over for charlie coe was also very talented. just a wonderful group all together. as a 6 yr old in 65. my favorite band!!

It sounds a LITTLE fast, but not by much. (In fact, I wouldn't even have notcied it if other people hadn't commented. I had this 45 and it sounded more or less like this. Perhaps it was slower on the album...) I never really thought about it, but Mark Lindsay IS quite attractive...
