When I listen to this song, I think of my little brother who committed suicide. He was brokenhearted and feeling there was no escape from his pain. I was 12 years old when he was born, so he is my "Little Willow". I remember holding him as a baby, running around with nerf guns, playing wiffle ball, and as he became a young man, enjoying just how much he had grown into that form. I love(d) him so much and whether or not the song meant to have relevance to him and I, it has that impact for me. I miss you so much, Mark. You are my little willow and I love you unto eternity.

Man.. "Flaming Pie" was and still is one of my fav Paul's albums and I love this song but I never saw this before now... Shit how sad it is! All that album was very emotional, beside the rnr numbers there were a bunch of very emotional songs, some of them sad some "healing songs" like the wonderful "Souvenir".. That one and "Chaoe e Creation in the Backuard" are his best recent efforts. "New" is a good one indeed.. One more time, Thanks Paul.
