Paul McCartney - Good Sign Lyrics

That's a good, that's a good sign, that's a good, that's a good sign.
Oh, oh, oh, it's a good sign, oh, oh, oh, it's a good sign,
Oh, oh, oh, it's a good sign, oh, oh, oh yeah, it's a...

I love the way that my heartbeat increases when you walk in a room.
The chemicals that my body releases dispel any feelings of gloom.
That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign, let us keep improving,
That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign. Don't you know?

I love electrical shocks and surprises keep attacking my heart.
I know the way my temperature's rises had to be there from the start.
That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign, let us keep improving,
That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign. Don't you know? Don't you know?

That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign, let us keep improving,
Oh, oh, oh, it's a good sign, oh, oh, oh, it's a good sign, oh, oh, oh, it's a good sign. Right now.

I love the way that my heartbeat increases when you walk in a room.
The chemicals that my body releases dispel any feelings of gloom.
That's a good, that's a good sign, that's a good, that's a good sign.
That's a good, that's a good, ooh, ooh, ooh. Don't you know? Don't you know?
Ooh, don't you know? Don't you know? Ooh. Ooh, ooh
Good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good.

That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign, let us keep improving,
That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign. Don't you know? Don't you know?
That's a good sign, see the meter's moving, that's a good sign, let us keep improving.

  1. J.... D....

    Cool electro-funk sound!

  2. L.... ....

Still unable to find a better version I heard on Napster.
    The quest continues.

  3. S.... F....

It's unreleased... why do I have it on my 12" of This One? ;)

    S.... F....

I have it too - I suppose it's because this song never appeared on an album. I bought my copy when I lived in Germany, but I suppose it never made it here in the USA.

    S.... F....

Yeah, I did have the 12" on Parlophone, Paul's label, It's official :)

  4. F.... L....

    Rock on, Paulie!

  5. K.... ....

    Disco? Paul? Really?....wow

    K.... ....

It sounds like disco, but this song came out in 1989/90, when term "disco" was no longer being used - I suppose you could call it dance music but it still sounds like disco to me. And yes, Paul had done disco before - remember Silly Love Songs, Goodnight Tonight, and Coming Up? Also, Tug of War had a tune called "What's That You're Doing", Paul's other duet with Stevie Wonder.

    K.... ....

This is electro-funk, not disco. And it's quite cool.

I've also seen it categorised as Funky House, the central idea being Funk or Funky. Although I haven't seen anything official about it, I think that when Paul sings "see the meter's moving" he's referencing the Meters, a notorious Funk band from the seventies.

  7. y.... ....

@Stube437 srry for not replying. i think this pic is from 68, it might be 69, 70, or even 71 but it looks like paul in 68 to me

    .....The McFunkster!!!

  9. A.... R....

I think Paul had to abort this project because it was very comercial music, like disco sound. And is good in this range of things.

  10. b.... ....

@BertLeysen B side for the "This One" 12'' single!
