When I was five years old I was at the dewdrop in Winchester Virginia with my aunt and my mother my brothers and Patsy saw me dancing to her son when she walks in to do drop in and say she dance with me and then she asked me to come over us and our lab and she won over I could she could take me home my mother said no but I’ve always loved penalty since I was little kid I was there when she got killed so far

I'm sure that Pat very much approves of Patsy's recording.  Funny that we never hear this recording.  We all were stunned and were hurting to hear of Patsy's death.  Everything just kind of went quiet.  '64 was the year I graduated high school.  Just surprised I haven't heard this until today.  She never sang a bad one.

Didn't remember that Patsy recorded one of Pat Boone's song.  Did a super job as always. It was Pat's song but Patsy did a darn good job of at least getting a piece of it.

She sings beautiful! love to listen to her. Interesting how Patsy Cline was so dark, her facial features , teeth and hair seem to be Hispanic or Native. I wonder what her ancestry was? I notice no-one comments but its clear she is half Caucasian maybe 1/4. No offense I'm just curious

No female singer has come even close to Patsy's perfection. Lee Ann Rimes is close but Patsy  is still the best!!

I prefer Patsy's version of this song over Pat Boones, I grew up with Pat's version and really love it but when I heard Patsy do it I forgot all about Pat.

This song was released on April 27th, 1964 making it recorded probably at her last session on Feb. 7, 1963. Patsy died on March 5th, 1963 in a plane crash in Camden, Tenn.

MY GREAT GRANDFATHER WROTE THIS SONG IN LIVERPOOL BUT SOLD IT IN 1931 TO A GUY IN THE PUB FOR 5 SHILLINGS 

This was written by American J. Fred Coots in 1931.  He never left the states.

I never heard a "Patsy" song that I thought was anything but belonging to her.  Even dog songs came to life with her, and ones like this just had her name on it. I guess I'm a hopeless Patsy fan, can't change, don't want to, been that way over 50 years.

How can anyone even compare Pat Boone to the great Patsy Cline?

As a fellow Virginian, I love Patsy to death... But I have to say I much prefer Pat Boone's version. He sang it more relaxed with just enough feeling, but she had the tendency to over emote it on some songs (not all).

Fifty years ago today 5 February 1963

Patsy could sing the scale and make it sound beautiful, but I don't think this is all that good. Maybe that's why it wasn't released initially. Very much a formula cover. Perfectly executed but not inspired. No offense intended to Patsy or her fans.

Anybody know the recording date?

Okay, Pat Boone did a great job on this song, but Patsy's version is my favorite. He voice brought more passion to the words.
