Patsy Cline - Faded Love Lyrics

As I look at the letters that you wrote to me
It's you that I am thinking of
As I read the lines, that to me were so dear
I remember our faded love

I miss you, darling, more and more everyday
As Heaven would miss the stars above
With every heartbeat, I still think of you
And remember our faded love

As I think of the past and all the pleasures we had
As I watched the mating of the dove
It was in the spring time that you said goodbye
I remember our faded love

I miss you, darling, more and more everyday
As Heaven would miss the stars above
With every heartbeat, I still think of you
And remember our faded love
And remember our faded love

  2. H.... ....

She does this song good..Makes that fiddle player from West Texas look pretty good..Who you say?? Bob Wills...

  3. B.... L....

Patsy Clone has always been my favorite. She has the ability to put more emotion into a song than anyone I have ever heard.
Unfortunately all my favorites were gone much too soon, Patsy Clone, Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins , Johnny Horton and Roy Orbison. I know there are others, but I could listen to these all day and never get tired. ( not country but I have to add Karen Carpenter - the most pure voice I've heard. )

  4. M.... P....

Back when music had true meaning. Now it's just turned into complete garbage

    M.... P....

YOU'RE right I've listened to several, this one has better quality sound and esp when she ends it with that breath and cry? Ohhh Lord makes me ball like a baby. She was the best and still is. I love her. She really FELT her music. So beautiful. She was beautiful.

  9. c.... ....

Sometimes the singers of the past are still the best

  10. T.... B....

The way she does her voice in the chorus was so hot and sexy!!! I would have liked to have known her! What a lady and what a voice!

  11. M.... G....

THIS ONE JUST GIVES YOU GOOSE BUMPS, DOESN'T IT??? What a voice....

  12. R.... A....

  15. R.... B....

Her voice gives me goosebumps and puts this giant smile on my face. Anytime I'm feeling blue, I listen to Patsy.

  16. M.... Z....

My Aunt let me borrow her Patsy Cline CDs and I played them on the drive to the Grand Canyon, never having listened to all her music I was hooked, had to buy all her music that I could find. A treasure taken way to young..

  17. w.... ....

I’m really not sure who did it better, Patsy or Ray? I’d love to say Patsy but Ray was amazing too. Love Patsy Cline!

  18. H.... ....

No diamond ever excavated from the depths of the Earth could ever be as flawless as this performance.

Her voice was always personal and flawless.

    I reuly l]ve Patsy cline

  21. K.... N....

Such a beautiful voice and gift she had. I wish I found out about her sooner. I so glad I heard about this beautiful songs & talented Patsy Cline. I watched & loved Sweet Dreams & Patsy & Loretta on lifetime. Such a tragedy of what happened to her.😭

  22. C.... M....

Such a beautiful song. Such a voice. RIP, Patsy.

  23. B.... M....

Thank you for sharing your video with us

  24. D.... C....

Betty Wills, Bob's widow, said he literally wore Patsy's record out, listening to it over and over, couldn't believe the old West Texas fiddle tune he wrote lyrics to sounded so beautiful.

  25. N.... L....

It occurred to me that Patsy Cline could be called The Judy Garland of country music. Consider:
    1. Both women had unmistakable, one-of-a-kind voices.
    2. Both were deeply unhappy in their personal lives.
    3. Both were taken from us far too soon by tragic circumstances.

  26. M.... ....

    thx that patsy came along

  27. R.... J....

Did you know that Willie Nelson wrote this one? Isn't it a beautiful piece of work?

    R.... J....

This was written by Bob Wills and his dad. However, Willie Nelson did write some songs for her, like “Crazy”

  28. P.... R....

Played by Richard Smith at Leo Fender's funeral service on an original Fender non pedal steel guitar.

  29. S.... A....

I hear her cry on "Faded Love"

  30. P.... J....

    Never be a Patsy Clines

  31. 1.... ....

I really cant think of another womans voice that truly 'gets me' when I listen to her. She is just pitch-perfect but more than than! Its her emphasis of tone in her voice? its faultless and... yeah, always brings a lump to my throat,a tear in my eye and leaves me wishing things in life could be sooo different! (:

  32. A.... S....

Patsy, forever I'll be in love with you

  33. D.... B....

this song went to #7 on the country charts in 1963!!!

  34. c.... ....

Never get tired of listening to her

  35. V.... L....

What such a pretty song...Brings back great, fond memories of a dear old friend of mine...❤
Patsy had such a beautiful, clean, clear, crisp voice too.
What a shame she only lived to 30 years old...A great talent wasted...
    😫
I have a deep passion for aviation, as you can probably tell from my channel pic and name..
LCDR is an abbreviation for Lieutenant Commander, a Navy rank.
Im only 23 and have been flying all my life, but only on the big jets.
Although I've never been on one of those little planes, I know what it feels like when they crash down.
I've seen plenty of news reports on TV about those little planes crashing..
    Those planes are dangerous..
If it wasn't for one of those planes, chances are Patsy would still be alive today, at 86, almost 87 years old, same age as my grandfather, an Airforce veteran.

  36. R.... R....

There will NEVER be another Patsy, she has to be putting the angels to shame.

  37. D.... N....

Beautiful romantic love songs for me and girlfriend we love I sang it

  38. P.... B....

    I Love Patsy Cline ,❤️

  39. R.... R....

Why oh why did you get on that damn plane. :(

  40. S.... B....

Bob Wills and his father Johnny Lee Wills wrote this classic that never has been done better than right here. When Bob Wills heard this version of this Mt. Rushmore recording of his song, he cried and said that is how it is supposed to sound. So say whomever you want to write it, Bob wrote this song, on the 5th take musical legend was etched in granite. This is the finest, earthiest voice ever put on recording. Cramer, Harold Bradley on tic-tac,

    S.... B....

60 years later, no one has come within a light year of this. Never will. Other cheap imitations merely pale and are a joke at best when compa---oops played in a side by side show. Nothing can compare.

  41. B.... T....

Thank you, Patsy, for getting me through this hard time in my life. Love you always.

  42. V.... ....

Let's try it again, Patsy. With feeling this time.

  43. c.... ....

I will enjoy her music as long as I can

  44. J.... W....

What a voice!! Patsy, it's just too bad we lost you so soon--I know you didn't have a very happy life. But the Lord's choir must have needed you more. RIP.😔💒

    J.... W....

Stevie B Of course there's a God, Stevie. And for you to say that is senseless. Sometimes things just happen, that we can't explain. On May 16th, I had to had to have my sweet little Dachshund, Daisy, put to sleep, because she hurt her back and couldn't walk. I loved her SO much, but I didn't want her to suffer, and I know she's waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I don't blame God, for what happened to Daisy, anymore than I blame Him for my Dad passing away in January. Things just happen, and we're not meant to know why, until we get to heaven.😔💒

    J.... W....

@Jody Wilke my heart hurts for you jody. I have been crushed by the death of my beloved pets. Enjoy them and your life, but please look closer, there is no one watching from above. We are on our own, and have evolved to assign agency to events. If not, we would have been eaten by the lion. More often it's the grass in the wind, and not a lion. We now know this. Life is so short, don't waste anybody yours on a being that doesn't exist. Spend time and money with family. I never met your father, but you just now let him live again for a time in my mind. Keep him alive in your head and I wish you well!
    Stevie B...

    J.... W....

Stevie B Stevie, I still feel VERY sorry for you, and every other atheist I've dealt with. You don't want to believe in God? That's your choice, and your right. But I know I haven't evolved from ANYTHING--I was created, and so was everything else in this beautiful world. I have one question for you--How can you look into the face of a newborn baby, or at the wonders of nature we see, or all the different animals, and tell me that just happened by accident? You can't tell me that. And something else--I'll spend whatever time I have left on this earth, worshipping the God who created it, and His Son, Jesus Christ, Who loved me enough to die for me, and YOU, and everyone else on this planet. Have a nice life.😊💒

    J.... W....

Stevie B Stevie--thanks, anyway, but you don't believe in God, so you can save your sympathy. And I know I didn't evolve, from ANYTHING--I was created by God, as was everything and everyone else on our planet. That's what I know, from reading my Bible, but as an atheist, there isn't any use arguing with you, or trying to convince you I'm right. And I'm going to see my Daisy again, someday, and God and Jesus, too--by the way, He CARED enough about you and me to die for us, and the rest of this world. Have a nice life.😊💒

    J.... W....

@Stevie B I agree totally with you mate. Such a tragic pre-mature end to a lovely lady with an amazingly enchanting voice.

  45. P.... L....

I used to hear my Dad sing this, too many years ago! RIP, Dad, Mom and Patsy Cline!

  46. J.... D....

Patsy will always be the very best!!!!

  47. S.... l....

Zjust wonderful to listen to music .not the rubbish on now

  48. R.... B....

I wrote about Patsy Cline on her song Crazy 243 about the plane crash and tree of life.It is proof Jesus is real.

  49. s.... r....

    I LOVE THIS SONG.

  50. H.... ....

    Bob Wills would be proud!!!

  51. B.... C....

Last one from Ginny. That is why we need to hold those that matter the most to each and everyone of close...closer yet.
    That voice is proof positive

  52. H.... 8....

    Lovely woman.

  53. K.... L....

It was Bob Will's brother who wrote the words to "Faded Love". Get your facts straight

    K.... L....

And while we are at it, there is no god.

  54. c.... ....

    Grew up listening to her

  55. E.... S....

    Unrequited love is sooo miserable!

  61. H.... ....

What a magnificent rendition of the old Bob Wills classic fiddle tune.

  62. T.... ....

Yeah ! Really a TRUE VOICE, warm, blue and well tuned !
The magnificent interpretation of this song by Patsy Cline, gives me goosebumps !

  63. G.... L....

Why can't they sing like that today, so simple, my hats off to Patesy, hammer down

  64. A.... M....

The last song she made before she died.

  65. M.... H....

What a beautiful voice. What crap we have today that think they are singers.

  66. R.... M....

This & She's Got You, my absolute favorites of her so many great songs.

  67. J.... S....

    Damn that’s some good music

  68. N.... ....

    This always makes me cry.

  69. M.... C....

Was Bob Wills Jr. related to the "real" Bob Wills? They say "welcome to Texas." Sam Houston was know to milk a cow for all it was worth.

  70. B.... C....

It was at the beginnin of the spring that Ginny met the end. This was her final gift. The plane crashed back to the horizon. Song is on replay forever.

  71. K.... N....

Wow. I can feel her emotions in this

  72. f.... ....

Cline got so involved with the stories in the songs' lyrics, she reportedly cried through most of her final sessions [Feb. 1963]. The raw emotion can be plainly heard on such tracks as "Sweet Dreams" and at the end of "Faded Love".
    Patsy Cline, 30 (Sep. 8, 1932 - Mar. 5, 1963)

  73. T.... ....

Nothing to compare/share to the nowaday pseudo singers.
    HER VOICE WAS UNIQUE !
    SHE WAS UNIQUE !

  74. K.... W....

107 people must be tone deaf!!

  75. B.... C....

Lil lady had a voice, yes she did. If you and I take a walk through the streets of Winchester, VA... Praise the Lord above, Miss Virginia Patterson Cline still echos off the bottoms up along yonder hills to the skies above. Her gift lives on forever

  76. P.... M....

    Love it 🐶☘️woof

  77. V.... J....

    Wonderful song.
    That’s a beautiful playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhMM9QHXwx0

  78. C.... W....

I don’t think Patsy would like you guys arguing about stuff that doesn’t matter. She was brilliant. She died and we have her music to remember her by. Enough said!

  79. C.... ....

As I look at the letters that you wrote to me
It's you that I am thinking of
As I read the lines, that to me were so dear
    I remember our faded love

I miss you, darling, more and more everyday
As Heaven would miss the stars above
With every heartbeat, I still think of you
    And remember our faded love

As I think of the past and all the pleasures we had
As I watched the mating of the dove
It was in the spring time that you said goodbye

As Heaven would miss the stars above
With every heartbeat, I still think of you

    And remember our faded love

  80. C.... W....

Did she write any of the songs she recorded?

  81. S.... T....

This is one of my favorite songs of Ms. Patsy! She brings so much power to this song. Like she was going through something in her life. RIP! Patsy! Love your music and will live on.

  85. 1.... ....

Once you've listened to patsy singing? she sets the benchmark that you compare others to(and there are very few that even come close to her!). She has a truly beautiful voice. x

  86. L.... S....

do you know what is the name of the original soundtrack this was on

  87. b.... ....

91 people did thumbs down........the only possible reason is that this song is so painful to them, for a lost love, that they reacted emotionally when Patsy's voice cracked at the end. Any other reason is beyond comprehension.

  88. M.... ....

I love so many of Patsy's songs that it's hard to pick one favorite. But this song might be her best. Near the end, as Patsy brings this heartache to it's conclusion, the sound of her breath, as she gathers for the final words, is breathtaking in it's poignancy. Thank heavens the engineers didn't edit that out.

    M.... ....

mic, my favorite by her also.

  89. R.... S....

A beautiful song sung by such a grand lady that we lost way too soon. We love you Patsy, R.I.P

  90. M.... M....

We all remember Patsy Cline. She was quite a singer. She was my father in law's favorite singer. He insisted we all learn to like her, and we did.

    M.... M....

Good for him, and you. My family members are too afraid to "intrude."
