I see the sadness when i close my eyes

This song reminds me of summer 2014, when I was broke and and I was shit at busking and playing music and I never had enough for bus fare, so I just hitch hiked around the place. I was alone most of the time, but listening to Mike, I wasn't really alone

You can really hear the wear and tear on his voice from 2:22 to 2:26 after so many years of singing in pubs and busking all the time... I wonder if that's why he doesn't do any falsetto anymore? Like he used it lots in his older stuff but I haven't heard him sing in that register even once in his last two albums I think.

Just to clarify: I absolutely love his voice. Just fascinated by what it's been through considering I'm a singer myself.
