This is the last song I listened to before my grandpa passed away this year, this song became so special from then on, it makes me remember all those great times we lived together, I remember myself taking a break from his funeral to listen to this song once again, like a way of letting him go in peace, knowing that this song will always make me remember about him.

I was sitting here listening to this song for the first time, and after midway through the lyrics changed and enlightened me to realize what this song is about. At least to me, I felt dead by my inability to find joy in social activities. Every thing I did with strangers was a worry. I sat in my bed at night wishing daisies to grow through the floor, so to speak, for my shell to have life in it. But no life is growing in the shell, you have to bust out of the shell. To me, the trees keeping the tempo is a refernece to natural happenings controlling the joy experienced with strangers: it doesn't need to be in your control. Just let it go. And though we all walk through the metaphorical forest, a lot of us never dance to it with other walkers.

I recently just began practicing music, and I started crying when I played my first Owl City song two nights ago. This music has been therapy for me all throughout elementary and high school, and hearing those sounds come from myself just felt so full circle to me. This music will always hold such a special place in my heart.

This is THE Owl City album. Nothing could top it.
The thing about this song is that it wasn't given publicity. It stayed on the album, not released as a single or anything, but it's one of the BEST songs on this album, as well as one of the saddest.
Owl City has turned the music world upside down. Heck, he made fun of those lovey-dovey pop songs we hear today with "Deer in the Headlights". Owl City still makes music, and still sticks to synth pop, staying away from the mainstream garbage we hear today(Except Imagine Dragons and Onerepublic. They aren't trash.).

Alright everyone I have a story.

So, when I was in fourth grade I had to go to a different school because of the G.A.T.E program. None of my friends were going to that school. I had a really hard time making friends. I hated being alive then because I was really lonely. My parents weren't much help since they both think education is more important. Then, I stumbled across Owl City and this song. I learned the lyrics and whenever I was lonely, sad, or upset I would go over to this tree in the really far corner of the playground and sing this song to myself there. I did the same thing for fifth grade even when I had made some friends.That tree and this song got me through some really hard times. So thank you Owl City.

Yoog-chan- That’s a wonderful story. Owl City is really nostalgic and helped me a lot too. My parents used to fight all the time and his songs were one of the only CDs we had that helped. Now when I listen to them it just makes me remember the old days.

@Xiper StarChild, Owl City is a devout christian who makes that clear with the lyrics of a lot of his songs [e.g. Galaxies, Angels], which is why they made that comment. Many people of different religions listen and enjoy his music, though.

So I cried my heart out to God.I just turned on my Kindle Fire HD and started listening to Plant Life remembering all that happened today and how I was so excited when my mom came for Christmas. I like how even though we're all fans of the same artist but can have such varied "favorite songs". Like there isn't one or two of them that are commonly perceived as "the best", we each see something different in the music and get something unique out of it. I don't know...that just struck me as kind of amazing.
