I always come back to this whenever I'm reminded of how messed up this world is or when I'm feeling hopeless. Christianity isn't a religion. It's about having a personal relationship with someone who will help you through it all. Someone who will always be there for you. Someone who loves you no matter what. Someone who will be your guide through life. Someone who will be your cornerstone, your safe place when things are hopeless. Someone who is your light in the darkness. Someone who knows you better than anyone else and who fully accepts you for who you are. Someone who will never let you down. Someone who is there for you when nobody else is. Someone who never gives up on you and loves you no matter all the mistakes you make. That person is Jesus Christ. He loves you. He sees you and sees nothing but perfection and beauty in you. He will give you never-ending love, peace, hope, and joy. All you have to do is accept it. ❤

I have to admit. I don’t talk to god much, not because I don’t want to. But because when I do, I can’t hear him. At least as far as I know. To me it feels like a one sided game of telephone. Sometimes I wonder if he doesn’t want to talk to me.

But that was changed. You see, I was talking to my dad about buying a new car and how tedious it was. He said to have patience and I dismissed him. Then, around two seconds after he said that, an ad on the radio was talking about just what we where talking about and said “be patient.” It sounds really stupid, but I’m convinced that was god talking to me indirectly. Urging me to wait.

Sure my icon is a pentagram. But it’s not cause I’m satanic. The only reason I have it? Because it looks cool.

Amen. God speaks to us in unexpected ways..if we look for him, we can find him everywhere!

2020 anybody!?!?!

I'm an athiest, and I'll likely never make the move back to religion. That being said, in moments of weakness and vulnerability, I listen to songs like this one. Just for a moment, I wish I still believed, because there is nothing quite like feeling all alone in a world filled with people just as heartbroken as yourself. I miss the thought that there is such an encompassing love, even as my rationality wars with childhood condtioning.

If you want to believe than you can, it isn't just believing in something after death, it's believing we are gifted with free will and that we can just about anything ( except defy laws of nature ) as long as we have faith and put our minds to it, and choose to do what's right out of our free will. That's what God's looking for, for those people who do right and he can call home as family. God is misunderstood, and there are even some christians who take it the wrong way and then express it in the wrong way which pushes people away. God doesn't want people to push beliefs on others or judge others, because 1. Judgement is his job and 2. Because we're his children and he loves us all and he doesn't want us hurting each other or even ourselves, like a father ( or mother ) would, and that's why he has rules, not to oppress us, but to protect us. God's light is there to guide us, protect us, to warm us. And he is very forgiving and patient because he knows we're not perfect and we're gonna make mistakes. I was once a faithful Christian. I mean, i felt it really. I can feel the Holy Spirit in my everyday life. But now, i think I'm lost. I'm trying my best to go back to God. But this song made me cry and made me realize that I can't go back to God by my works alone but by His Grace and will. Because we are saved not by our own doings, but by God's grace, it is His gift for us. God loves us so much. There is no turning back. We must love Him with all our hearts, minds, souls and spirits.

@vgmlover sometimes, we just have to let go and let God. Whatever we are going through, we must not forget what God has done for us.

@Just_AutumnYT Coz I think it is better to spend my time in believing that there is God even if there is none, than wasting my time not believing in Him and be surprised that He really exists. It will be a true regret.

So, who's gonna stop you from hoping that there is something better after this life, there are no consequences if you choose to believe something else because you believed in nothing before. But if you didn't believe in God, and he does exist, wouldn't you be worried? I would hope God doesn't have punishment for those who don't believe, I have faith for those who don't, but I'd personally rather be safe than sorry when I have nothing to lose. And I'd personally rather believe in a heavenly father watching over all of us and calling us home than being called home to the void, just eternal darkness and nothingness, very spooky and boring at the same time. And not all christians are like science hating, antivaxxer, pushy, conspiracist, I don't hate science, I just believe it's in God's will, I don't think all vaccines are poison, we've cured the plague and ever since antivaxxer movements we've had outbreaks of polio, I'm not really pushing, I'm expressing my beliefs, and I don't think there's lizard people or the earth is flat, I infact think those types of christians are in the wrong and are pushing people away from christianity. You don't even have to go to church, you can build your own relation with God, organized religion always get corrupted just like any other postion of power. Christ is not religion...I had a real encounter when I was atheist last year.... it changed my life. I have no more depression. we just need to humble ourself and ask Jesus

I'm tearing up reading these wholesome comments.

Honestly? I respect so much Owl City for never straying away from his faith, no matter how well known or unknown he is to audience. He's one of the artists that I respect, because he holds so much passion to his faith, even if religion to this day is a touchy subject to some. But even if you are not from any religion or from a different one, his songs are still filled with positive and deep messages. Even if we interpret them differently, they still give us hope or strike a chord within us.

Hope is not just solely for us Christians. It's for everyone. Every person, every belief and every walk of life. And his songs, will often remind us of the whimsical, or the emotional concept of Hope. He's one of the few artists that instils these messages in his songs very well. One of my favourites!

Religion is not made by God. God is relationship its why we call him father. I am an EX Atheist and EX Buddhist, I call out to Jesus last year and he showed up to me in real life and freed me from depression and suicide (HE IS 100% REAL), his power is real and we can witness this if we humble ourself and ask for him. Jesus is personally relationship, alot of Christians do not know this experience because they live as false Christians..... I hope people come to Jesus in this experience knowing him through his holy spirit power.
