Both were very good bands, but two different styles of music. Outlaws definitely more steeped in country roots, while Skynyrd was more swamp rock. Musically, particularly in vocals, I'd give the edge to the Outlaws, musicianship to Skynyrd.

Seen these guy numerous times used to watch them practice in a garage in temple terace florida. It don't get any better.
