Outlaws - Take It Any Way You Want It Lyrics

Take it any way you want it
Be your own superstar
Let the world know
The only way you want it
Is the way you are

Take it like it is and love it
Put your heart in what you do
You can even have
The devil in your shoes
If you wanted to

'Cause if you do it
You'll find out just how easy it is
There's nothing to it
Take the magic out
Take the love away

Make 'em hear your song and like it
Any way you want it to
If you want to be a star
It's not so very far
It's really up to you

Make 'em take your voice and like it
(You know you got to be free)
'Specially when you're vowed to do
(Rock and roll is what you need)
You can sing the blues
The gospel and the news
If you wanted to

'Cause if you do it
You'll find out just how easy it is
There's nothing to it
Take the magic out
Take the love away

Take it any way you want it
Be your own superstar
Let the world know
The only way you want it
Is the way you are

Take it any way you want it
Won't you be your own superstar
I said let the world know
The only way you want it
Is the way you are

Can't you hear me now
Take it any way you want it
Won't you be your own superstar
Let the world know
The only way you want it
Is the way you are

Yeah, I want you to take it (I said take it)
Take it any way
I want you to take it (take it)
Any way you want it
Take it

Outlaws Take It Any Way You Want It Comments

I know this comment may tick some off. But if you were a Kiss fan and listen to this song, you'd think Gene Simmons and his guitar with Paul Stanley were in this song with the Outlaws.

SpockMcoy Issmart Honestly... I disagree. No comparison in talent. Kiss, couldn't shine The Outlaws shoes, when it comes to guitar work, and music in general.

This isn't a talent discussion between 2 different musical genres, I don't know how many Kiss albums you have and listen to the similarities of Simmons voice/Kiss guitar work and the beginning guitar work and the singer in the point of 23 seconds. It is a gravel-ee voice like Simmons at times. That is what I'm discussing. There is a vary similar style within this song. I could easily hear the entire Kiss band playing this song.

I never heard the Outlaws until 1989 when I got to Misawa Japan at age 19; I'll be 49 this year. I was in the Navy and at my first Duty station. The people I ran with listened to all this older wonderful music, and boy was I educated. Yes, I was "sheltered" while growing up... parents!! Eventually, I bloomed and chose the road less traveled by those of my kin. I have 5 younger brothers who elected not to enter the military, or any kind of "service"; foreign or domestic. Their loss, not mine. "Teach your children".
