I wonder if Danny sent in his baby teeth to get tested for Strontium-90. Carbon-14 levels were double their pre-Atomic age levels until they banned above ground nuke testing in 1964. All that carbon-14 in the environment probably nearly doubled cancer rates and also caused mutations that in many cases wouldn’t show up until Gen Z (including for example gender mutations hence all the trans identifying and intersex kids nowadays). Danny wrote a song about this for the Mystic Knights called Nuclear Babies. At the time he had just become a father and he was afraid his daughter was going to be born with hideous mutations from all of his radioactive waste experiments.

@Nuclear Cat Baby yea i remember when i was about 6 or 7 i sent in my baby teeth to get tested for strontium-90. Thought i was gonna be in some government science experiment but was extremely dissapointed lol, but i was never allowed any chemicals so i didnt really think anything of it.

I googled the song because I binged the first season of the show but out of all the john Hughes movies this was my favorite one and have never seen this music video before now
