This is probably my all time favorite OM&M song. I'm sorry but the chorus at 1:35 is some of the best clean vocals in the entire fucking rock genre, let alone a subgenre like metal-core. Short, sweet, it never repeats, but yet it carries the entire song and takes it to another level. Some of Shay's best work right there.

I played this album OUT when this was new. Like every day in the car, since I was doing a job that required a lot of commuting back & forth delivering auto parts to dealerships. Awesome album and some of my favorite clean vocals in this genre at the time, still are actually.

Checked out Dayshell, and you can tell that even Shay has vocal damage at this point. His Jamie's Elsewhere album and this one was honestly his peak (with Austin's being The Flood).
Respect for both for bringing the utmost potential they had together while it lasted.

Nino Cappucchino I think they are going to change completely now. I'm pretty sure the only reason Cold World had any screaming at all was bc of Austin but now that he's gone they will probably just become a rock band with no screaming. I'd love it if they got heavier but I will support them regardless

@Wes Sones i continue to support them either way. If rock is what they want to do then fine, go for it. It's been a while since the first record and I guess the music influence and style you like changes while you get older and grow personally.

Anything after the Flood is absolutely brutal. Once Shay left they went to shit. Aarons influence on the band has made them soft. Listen to this and then try cold world....

Patrick Tallon Austin does have that one disease with his lungs and his heart and overgrown fingers and sheit also Austin did once have a vocal damage during one of his tours, so no telling if it's Aaron's fault or just Austin wanting to go softer.

After Austin's sugery he wanted to make a new band with Allen Ashby but of mice and men wanted Austin back so Austin came back after awhile becouse he was having some issues he said he'd come back under one condition him and Allen Ashby is a packaged deal

Take advice from people who actually do know him, like pervious OM&M and AA members and they'll all say he's an arrogant and egotistical asshole who claims to be "Christian", yet is constantly drinking and doing things most Christians consider to be sinful. 12 year old fangirls are always out to defend him because they find him attractive or they've put him on a pedestal, or because he's gone through rough times. Just because he's gone through some tough shit doesn't mean he's a good guy. Fuck, I know this kid who suffered worse than anyone else I know, in and out of hospitals all the time, and he's a complete asshole to me and to all of his friends.

Listen, not everyone in the music industry are nice people. Sometimes, they're doing what they're doing for money to feed their drug or alcohol problem, and the issue is that fangirls buy into this. The band members are always going to make themselves look the best they can for the public because they need a clean reputation to keep their fan base growing.

Personally, if fangirls worship anyone in this band (which they shouldn't, it should be seen as a combined effort from all the band members + producers and technicians) it should be Shay. Shay is a very talented musician and he doesn't get enough credit for what he does while Austin gets too much credit.
