And the lyrics aren't cheesey, generic. They are original but hold some weight, if you can see the world from a rational perspective in relation to our past as a species. How we won't survive ultimately.

I feel like old Northlane was kind of for kids. Which is GREAT. But the message they preached previously was a bit obvious and angsty. They've gotten more clever with their approach this time. I must also point out that they got better at their instruments. Flat out, the compositions are smoother and really go somewhere musically. Breakdowns are used sparingly and tastefully. Choruses are ACTUAL choruses. I was a fan of Northlane since they released their INSTRUMENTAL tracks. For me, the previous singer really set an age limit for the fan base. I hope you guys continue to support Northlane. They're really on to something here. If they continue this path I can see them in the same ranks as Thrice.

I disagree that Adrian's lyrics were deep. But hey, it's called perspective. There's nothing wrong with a young mind creating music that young people enjoy. Like i said....it was great! Agree to disagree. And that's ALSO ok.

@infoxicate I think its funny how you think Marcus's lyrics are deep but not adrians. You're right its all an opinion and we don't have to agree, but it just sounds silly. His angsty was key! It gave them their unique sound they HAD with Adrian. Personally I don't like the new stuff anywhere near as much as their old stuff with Adrian. Speaks to me so much more than anything on node.

Opinions aside how can't you think adrians lyrics are not deep? they are all about self discovery on a cosmic scale.
