Only Americans could be possibly confuse punk music as right-wing.  You have no clue, do you.  If you lived through the eighties, put safety pins through your nose, sported a mohawk, spat in your favourite bands face you may continue this discussion.  Punk music was created by Mike Mclaren as a marketing campaign to put together a 'rebel' boy band.  It was clever marketing because it indoctrinated us all to hate (And therefore not buy) any and all other forms of music.  The social movement which accompanied it was real but it was unequivocably supported by the left-wing even though the spirit was 'Anarchy'.  In simple terms as irreverant youths we were of the opinion 'Burn every fucking thing down and we'll start over'.
