Noel Gallagher - Alone On The Rope Lyrics
I won't let your smile
Get lost in the fall
I won't let your dreams
Run away in the dark
And that look in your eyes
Still recall the way you were
And that look in your eyes
Can't hear the sound
A thought ringing in my ear
I still feel the pain
I carried with me for years
Still recall the way you were
Still recall the way you were
And that look in your eyes
You could leave when the walls fall down
I can tell by the look in your eyes
You're alone on the rope
And if you can't find no hope
Don't look down
Don't look down
You could leave when the wall falls down
I can tell by the look in your eyes
You're alone on the rope
And if you can't find no hope
Don't look down
Don't look down

Noel Gallagher Alone On The Rope Comments
Great song
Good lord this is a good song! Nearly perfect!
Best post Oasis tune in my opinion 💙
Noel has proven that musically he’s multifaceted and gifted. I love the music in him.♥️🙌🏼
Great song 🔥
Oh man, You know how many times did i get drunk listening to this? Man i fuckin miss her
With all these EP'S Noely the Ambassador is truly Spoiling us
Es una canción" Alucinante"
My god, thank u Noel for all this years
Perfection say no more
And I'm sure this is b side wow
This is where Noel belong. not cosmic pop
My thoughts exactly mate...
He belongs wherever he wants to belong.
The production on this song is incredible, that’s Dave Stardy for you. I wish Noel would go back to working with him. So much better sounding than David Holmes.
Definitely maybe.🇬🇧
Goosebumps moment while listening to this track alone in the middle of the night , with Noel going wooooo!!
Love from Chennai , India
Very Neil young which is a good thing
This is one of my favourites by Noel. The sound is deep, sends you elsewhere for a moment.
Amazing
YEAH , BIBLICAL
Por que Noel? Como pode um cara fazer uma musica como essa e querer abandonar o gênero onde mais lhe mostra sucesso!?
this is cool wiv Noel _ i know
https://youtu.be/1zluF1cqX0U
Another amazing Noel Gallagher song 👏🏻
Why was this just left obscure for years as an "amazon exclusive"? Should have been on the album!!!!
Always listen to alone on a rope before bed time fooking amazing.
u dont want to die every night ?
I sleep on a double bed
It's one of those songs.
Does nobody else think that this was noel reminiscing about Liam a few years back?
"I still recall the way you were, and that look in your eyes"
"I won't let your smile get lost in the fog, I won't let your dreams runaway in the dark"
No mate, only Noel knows, but listening to the lyrics,I think it is about growing up with a abusive father,,,😢, and a lovely mother, going though similar myself, it all seemed the norm in the 60s/70s🤘🏾🎸🇨🇮🏴🏴🏴🌹🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
One of my all time Noely G favourites, pulled me through tough times. More of these please Noel 😎
This is more like it Noel. Not this is the place. It's not you. But imagine the lost oasis album with this on it,dead in the water,Liam's one of us and shockwave.
Stupenda!
This is a really beautiful song from Noel Gallagher. However, it appears this song was inspired by Robin Thicke's "Lost Without U".
I always come to find myself claiming at least 10 of his songs are the greatest fuckin tune ever on that moment and seems like its one of those times once again. But man... isnt this breaking your heart in seconds?
Once again, NG with another class B-side that should be on the album
Why isnt this on the album?? There must be 2nd 'Masterplan' album which contains all the best B-side songs Noel
Only Noel could be so arrogant yet so brilliant, he deserves all the attention, fucking genius...
Ok second song i love of yours..this is the Noel i know and love!!
This song transports me to another place. Love you Noel!
Reminds me of city and color
sounds like Radiohead
In interviews Noel keeps going on about how he doesn't care the smallest about lyrics. But often his songs have pretty great lyrics, I don't know why he soft plays this part of his work.....
Mary Amanda i think the idea that they simplistic, capturing and imaginative really draws the attention of the listener. i’m obsessed with his music
...a MASTERPIECE! ...Noel's "Burt Bacharach song"!!!!
Again a B side ⚡️💥👍🏼😎
I can't believe this is a B-side
This song is like a fine wine....
Depicting exactly how life is under the elite
These lyrics more than ever
Gorgeous
Thom yorke in da house.
I wish he would write more tunes like this on the newer album. So epic and timeless. The drums and piano and bassline are just ear candy....and that David Gilmour like voice comes in and you're like ..damn this is nice!!
Noel goes jazz
absolute top tune
Great haunting tune, love it.
Loving the smooth chillness of this psychedelia.... absolutely genius!
One of my absolute favourites, if you're on a beach with the sun on your face put this on and let it wash over you.... beautiful.
Just Amazing
One of my favorite songs by Noel. I love this so much.
Such a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics, you can hear his pain when he wrote this song
Eargasm
Amazing song. One of his best.
This song title is exactly how I feel
Oh Ryan, hope you’re well mate,,,we have all been on the downward spiral, take care mate ❤️🇨🇮🤘🏾🏴🏴🏴🌹🎸🐝🐝🐝🐝
Boa pq n parece com oasis
I know Noel doesn't need to learn Piano to sound mega, but man, can you imagine if he learned? How much his catalogue would expand in great songs? Noel knows how to write, and he knows that. The piano is perfect and not overbearing in this song. Pretty awesome instrumentalisation here. (made up my own word, if it belongs to the dictionary, lmao)
Isn't this the bloke from Oasis?
I see what you did there.....😜😜
Fxcking twat,,oh and oasis disbanded 10 years ago,try to keep up twat 🏴🏴🌹🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🇨🇮🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🤘🏾
B-side genius
Having a beer sat in the garden on good Friday listening to this wonderful wonderful song. Noel can sure write a good track man.
Noel, que som lindo
Why have I never heard this song before! A masterpiece!
Not as big a fan as you assumed?
Cuando la escuché, me enamoré de la canción
Noel's best song since Riverman.
Riverman is a tune! Alone on a rope was out before the riverman. this is a tune from 2011 but didn't come out on his first record. think he released online for NME 2011 then officilally made its way onto 'love is the law' single as a b side 2018.
Never liked Oasis or the brothers arrogance but due respect to Noel Gallagher on this. Amazing production and use of haunting effects.
First time hearing this fucking hell ,,,chills man
How can one guy be so good ffs
Uhhh, why wasn't this on the main tracklisting for the album?
Noel once again hiding single-worthy tracks as bonus ones or b-sides. haha.
This song is a B side of a song of his first solo album in 2011. That's why
About his dad this
in some way this song describe a point in your life at least it seems to me...
Another seminal classic by king Midas
Perfect!
I fuckin' love this song.
superb!
Thanks for penning me another song Noel. Like you said in theNME Dec2002 you only saw two fans you liked on the heathen chemistry tour Me and uncle Kev at Finsbury Park. . .. after your song dead in the water about my Loch Ness adventure I didn’t think you’d do another so soon. just after Loch Ness I said Kayaking it, deeper than all rivers and lakes in uk put together was like walking a rope between two skyscrapers. This is the rope. In the water I felt like I was alone on the rope with no hope.. but like you say I never looked down.. and just like you Noel I can’t f***in swim 😂
I wrote it on the noticeboard at work. Paddling Loch Ness being trapped on the rocks, was like walking a tight rope between two skyscrapers. In dead on the water( you write it just after I conquered Loch Ness) you say let the storm rage , have you seen video of that water in the storm we encountered? OMG 😲 then I write about ropes and you pen this one!
reminds me of Shopping by The Jam
se la escribió para Liam
This is so cool
Jesus Christ Noel, your music is like a sleeping pill.
You think that you are still alive?
โครตศิลป์
Beautiful lyrics and amazing arrangement. This song with Dead in the water are I personally miss from Noel. Great tune I love it.
caralho,eu adooro essa música!!
Wonderful song! (*_*)
Upa fucking ra
Amo essa música
a smile
I’ve waited 7 years for an official video for Alone On The Rope from Noel! And man this song was fucking wicked when I first heard it... wish he didn’t have exclusive to amazon Germany! It would have been better than Id Pick You Everytime for a single back when he released his first set of songs for his debut! Damn man I miss this classic sound
One of Noel's best ever
Never really connected with Oasis or owned an album but this song along with the Who Built the Moon? album and a fair bit of brother Liam's album As You Were was some of my favorite music from late 2017 throughout this year along with Johnny Marr, Morrissey, Ghost, and even U2's newest releases. Digging latest Kristin Hersh and discovering Drab Majesty now. Can't wait for more.
Falling Down vibes
is this song about depression and suicide?
Whoever has done the video for the song, well done. I know it's just a swirl effect, but it's what i'd envision if I was reminiscing.
Beautiful song
