I know Noel doesn't need to learn Piano to sound mega, but man, can you imagine if he learned? How much his catalogue would expand in great songs? Noel knows how to write, and he knows that. The piano is perfect and not overbearing in this song. Pretty awesome instrumentalisation here. (made up my own word, if it belongs to the dictionary, lmao)

Like you said in theNME Dec2002 you only saw two fans you liked on the heathen chemistry tour Me and uncle Kev at Finsbury Park. . .. after your song dead in the water about my Loch Ness adventure I didn’t think you’d do another so soon. just after Loch Ness I said Kayaking it, deeper than all rivers and lakes in uk put together was like walking a rope between two skyscrapers. This is the rope. In the water I felt like I was alone on the rope with no hope.. but like you say I never looked down.. and just like you Noel I can’t f***in swim 😂
I wrote it on the noticeboard at work. Paddling Loch Ness being trapped on the rocks, was like walking a tight rope between two skyscrapers. In dead on the water( you write it just after I conquered Loch Ness) you say let the storm rage , have you seen video of that water in the storm we encountered? OMG 😲 then I write about ropes and you pen this one!

Never really connected with Oasis or owned an album but this song along with the Who Built the Moon? album and a fair bit of brother Liam's album As You Were was some of my favorite music from late 2017 throughout this year along with Johnny Marr, Morrissey, Ghost, and even U2's newest releases. Digging latest Kristin Hersh and discovering Drab Majesty now. Can't wait for more.
