Nizlopi - Freedom Lyrics

One of my favourite songs..... come back to this every couple of months

'Half These Songs are About You' was the first album I sat down and really listened to; properly listened to. It has shaped all of my inspiration as a musician from then on and I still listen to as much of Luke and John's music as I can.

I used to go and see Nizlopi in the Bedford in Balham before they released JCB Song, got to know them quite well. Such nice blokes.

I remember listening to the JCB Song when I was younger but I never heard anything by them?

I was stuck in my ways but now Im open to all music and I learned to appreciate everything!

@beanbag1988 not necessarily... i used to work with dyslexic children and this can range from a variety of differant understanding of things, literacy,reading and writing, understanding of numbers and working things out. nizlopi are by any stretch of the imagination an amazing group and lukes voice is such a talent. Their are so many songs out their that I wish were written and sang by nizlopi but their are a few really good songs like girls, freedom and of course the jcb song.

Lovely comment :) but one thing: several of my friends are dyslexic. It never effects the way peoples heads work, it just means they have trouble with literacy, eg misreading a word or mis-spell one. A dyslexic person is just as capable as everyone else with everything, just literacy :)

Inspiring, well written and arranged, beautifully perfomed. Why? oh why did I miss the train on this band? I would have brought a season ticket and enjoyed the ride till the end. Some bands you miss and don't mind but I'm honestly upset these guys spilt at teh beginning of the year. I wish Luke and John all the best with their future projects and will keep an hear to the ground, something tells me further greatness will come from the ashes of Nizlopi.

This song is so amazing. I have just repeated it again and again for weeks. I love it so much. So simple. So beautiful. Amazing lyrics. So much emotion. I couldn't pick a favourite line, I love them all so much. His voice is so amazing, even when he swears it sounds amazing (: I love Luke. We need more of this music. <3 Thank you Nizlopi, you are one frickin incredible set of people.

Saw them live last year... absolutely amazing gig.
They do such a good performance of all their songs, and to think there's only the two of them on stage is just unreal.

It's such a simple song, but so well written. My heart goes out to Luke, he's so earnest in every song he sings, and the fact that he's dyslexic too just shows his talent despite the circumstances. He even curses well! A+, Nizlopi.

Love this song...and all their others to be honest. Wish more people knew that they arent just one hit wonders... cos they are amazzing! My only criticism (and i mean only) is that some of their songs sound quite similar. Still love them tho!
